Too hot to walk today

It was too hot to go for a walk today, so I pottered around the house and garden. I went to the park at  5.30pm when it had cooled down a bit. The deer were quite close to the fence. They are usually hiding in the trees. This is the most I have seen them together in one place. 

The wild flower garden around this broken tree is going to seed.

I wish I had taken some bird seed with me. The pond looks grim, it needs some more water.

It's a cottagey sort of village.
