Journaling or scrapbooking?

Good evening.
I recorded a video this morning.
The art of making a scrapbook and filling it with collected memorabilia. Fun to make, but what do you do with it afterwards. Here is one I made a few years ago. Someone gave me some small brown bags. What can I do with them? Make a book. Have you made one of these, what did you put in it?
The snow has mostly gone, so I went to the park this afternoon. I bought some duck food from the shop. It's 50p a small bag, a rip off really. I only had a £1 coin in my pocket. I must remember to take some from the big bag I have at home next time. All the ducks came swarming around our feet. Families with children were loving feeding them.
The sun was going down as I walked home.
I don't know what this black smoke is rising in the sky. Is it smoke or is it steam. A couple of miles away is an industrial estate. Maybe it's from one of the factories.

Nothing more to report tonight.
Catch ya tomorrow. Toodle pip.   ilona

  1. We used to see black smoke when they were burning tyres near the industrial estate, years ago.
Your picture of the trees is gorgeous. You could frame it for a present!

  2. Junk Journals are a thing.

I also don't understand this trend because to me a journal is like a diary. What these "journals" are is scrapbooks. I have a book that I paste recipes in, or articles that I might want to refer back to, patterns for things I might get around to knitting.

  3. I don’t really journal. I have a book that is a calendar. Like yours, it has blocks and I fill those in with things that need to be done or things I did do on that day. Not sure it would make much sense to others lol. I feel your blog is your journal and will be around for years and years. I often enjoy going back to the beginning and reading. Thanks for all you share. Here’s to another year and another calendar filled to running over.

  4. There are lots of photo's on facebuck of the smoke/steam sculpture from all over Lincolnshire. Was seen from Gainsborough and beyond.
