This is a war of the minds. Freedom of speech means you can say anything you like, but you can't believe any of it. They want to shut down twitttter, they want to block it in some countries.
I know what I believe, and that is to take control of my own life. I said no, and now a lot of people are getting sick. No matter what I read, what I watch, I get to decide. Saying no is a lot easier than you think.
Thanks for popping in. Toodle pip. ilona
PS. One last comment. I think Reform has shot itself in the foot, again. I really don't want to see any more fat bald men on my screen. I had a bad experience with one once. If someone's going to be an utter pillock, please let them be good looking.
I believe JFK 100% x
ReplyDeleteTypical lefty - the way Fred Herring critisises the 'man' and not the 'statement he is making'. Typical lefty attack, attacking the person and destracting from the actual statement. Cos he can't have an answer to what is actually being said. Happens to me all the time at work from nasty women who talk and talk and talk crap when you want them to answer a simple question.
DeleteIf you click on Fred's link it is obvious how mixed up he is. Avoid people like that.
DeleteWith the greatest of respect, it doesn’t matter what the person looks like, it is their being that counts.
ReplyDeleteYou fell for that. lol
DeleteOh, sorry I had no idea that was supposed to be funny.
DeleteNorma in Stafford thought it was funny. The post is about differences of opinion. Believe what you like. I can state my preference for good looking slim men with a full head of hair.
DeleteRFK Jr. says most people with Type 2 diabetes don’t need drugs they need a new diet.
ReplyDelete“Most people with Type 2 diabetes can lose their diagnosis simply by changing their diet.”
“It’s much more effective than pharmaceutical drugs or other medical interventions.”
Hi ilona, .... you're so funny, I've had lots of bad experiences with bald men too :-) ,. ha ha ha ..... that's really made my morning, thanks for your posts, I really enjoy reading them even if I don't comment, I appreciate the time you take to do this. Norma in Stafford.
DeleteHe's not a doctor? My 'doctor' got my diagnosis completely wrong, then 4 times I went to see her she didn't check for it. I'm living with the consequences for life now :-( . Oh, and another doctor at the surgery took early retirement - rumour had it he did drugs , perhaps not heroin (they can get access to their won supplies of substitute aparently, writting prescriptions to theyselves !) ... you find people call out problems with other people because that's what they are themselves, so I think on that basis JFK is the better person to believe. Beverley Woodward.
DeleteWhen people here in the US present at the doctor's office with pre-diabetes, they are routinely urged to adopt healthier lifestyles, including dietary changes. This advice has been given by the American medical establishment for many years, so should not be credited as some novel insight on the part of RFK, Jr. Whether or not patients follow this advice is another matter.
DeleteIt's a message that needs to be repeated over and over again. RFK is not claiming it to be something he has just thought of. As you say, people can ignore it.
DeleteNo Ilona. SOME people can reverse it, totally different. Your statement implies fault on their part. Untrue and unkind
ReplyDeleteNot my statement, RFK said it.
DeleteYes but you repeated it and didn’t refute it.
DeleteI am not here to enter into long conversations about who said what and when. I leave that to others.
DeleteType 2 CAN be reversed, Type 1 cannot, as Type 1 is an autoimmune condition whereas Type 2 is caused by lifestyle, although that involves accepting accountability which a lot of people seem to struggle with these days.
DeleteType 2 can also be hereditary. I was borderline at 7 and a half stone in weight. I cut down a lot of sweet things and have to go careful what I eat. My mum and sister both had type 2. It's not always due to obesity
