Who wanted some snow pictures? Well here they are. My back garden looking out of the office (back bedroom) window. The tumbledown garage on the left houses my wood store and gardening paraphenalia. Alongside are the plastic covered lean to's and small plant shelving, and beyond the six foot leylandi hedge are the raised beds and home made greenhouse.
Looking up the road from my bedroom window....
And looking down the road.
Here is Henry, taken yesterday, he has gone home now. He loves the snow.
How thick it is lying on the branches.
I dug the car out and cleared the driveway today, and went to town. I needed some cat litter, and food for them, and me. Yes, I have spent some money. We are all stocked up again, it's just as well as it's coming down thick and fast now. Maybe I won't be able to get out of the door tomorrow :0(
Hi there, I retired from 32 years of lorry driving, and now at 64, I am having a wonderful life. When I was in my mid fifties I got fed up of working all hours, and decided to go part time, which reduced my income. I learnt to manage on less money, most of what I picked up was from my mother. We had very little money as a family when I was growing up. The trick is not to spend more than you earn. Simple really, but many fail to grasp that and find themselves in an awful mess.
So, my blog is about being careful about what I spend my pension on, so that I have enough money to do the things I want to do. Cutting down on my day to day living expenses, so I can pay for my car, holidays, and days out. You don't need loads of money to have a good life. Toodle pip.
I have been having a bit of a sort out and moved this list on to a new page. You will find the link to it at the top of this page. I have rewritten the whole list to include more details on how you can save money. I hope this is helpfull to people looking for ways to reduce their spending.
