These are my crafty friends, having a jolly time at our Christmas Party this morning. There was food a plenty, and the sherry was flowing.
We laughed, we chatted, we joked, and fed our faces. We supped the coffee while we stitched and bitched, ha ha.
We knitted and nattered.
And checked our mobile phones. That's Heather taking a photo of me taking a photo of her.
There was nibbles, savoury and sweet. And I scoffed a plateful.
Some of us showed what we had been making. Patchwork and crochet and bags.
It was good fun, we should have Christmas more often. Toodle pip.
I think I spy my favourite- a Bakewell tart! I always buy those when in England.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun you had!
Looks like u all had great fun! I would love to attend a craft club but there isn't anything in my area especially not in the evenings, which is the only time I would be able to attend. I may have to start my own! Xxxx
ReplyDeleteGreat to hear you all enjoyed yourselves. Love the crocheted characters in the last photo!
ReplyDeleteLove the cockerel!
ReplyDeleteHey Ilona, are you finally getting bitten by the Christmas bug? I thought you didn`t do Christmas. As you`ve discovered, some aspects of the festive days can be fun. Glad you enjoyed yourself.
ReplyDeleteAnd, I agree with saraband on that beautiful cockerel patchwork cushion cover. Lovely colours!
No, still not doing Christmas. Not buying presents, not sending cards. It's supposed to be about religion not spending money. I like the idea of friends and relatives being nice to each other, but I can do that at any time of the year.
Deletelove the rooster, he is so colourful.
ReplyDeleteps hope you got a doggie bag hee hee
Looks like such a fun group.. wish I lived close!
ReplyDeleteMay be others above me waiting for moderation but... Was there coffee or sherry in those mugs! Lol.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas. Sounds like great fun. Food, friends, fun, like-minded people, crafting. What's not to love?
Coffee in the mugs, sherry in the plastic glasses.
DeleteParty on girls.
ReplyDeleteI hope all that sherry didn't result in wonky needlework or dodgy knitting.
Dave.
It looks a really nice little group of like minded souls, how nice that you all got to celebrate Christmas together, and you really can't beat a few nibbles, a drink or two AND a craft session can you :-)
ReplyDeleteLooks fab, festive, fun
ReplyDeleteTwiggy
Sounds and looks like a great time was had by all of you.
ReplyDeleteX x
What a talented bunch you are! Like everybody else I love that Rooster and that bag looks very pretty. I did go to a Stitch & Bitch group at a nearby library, however one woman was more Bitch than Stitch so I left. There are some other groups nearby too, so your post has given me a bit of a push to join up.
ReplyDeleteLinda xx
Ha ha stitch and bitch sounds just like work, stitched up with rubbish work that no one else wants to do and bitched about when it all goes wrong.
