Coming along nicely

It's raining so I'll get on with pottering around indoors. It might stop later. Catch up on the latest tapestry wall hanging. It's growing.
Painted squares on a hessian background. Random shapes with a simple back stitch. Bigger ones, small ones, squares and oblongs. I am calling them Frames.

I am increasing the density of the colours in the centres with felt tip pens and more paint.

It's easy to do. Mine is 11 inches by 17 inches on the frame. When I take it off the frame it might be slightly bigger. I am going to fray the edges. You could make a smaller one to give it a try. No pattern, make it up as you go along.

More trucking videos in the pipeline, be patient, lots more stories to tell. Toodle pip.  ilona

  1. I can certainly see it coming together, when you do the close ups of your work.It looks like a fun long term project..but does it make your fingers sore when pushing the needle through..maybe Im too much of a wimp, lol.I love the idea of Frames, maybe vintage stamps, old photos even labels from jars like Marmite.A story of your life done on hessian.Hung on a wall with tiny fairy lights just poking through it?.It looks a really interesting piece and Im sure that you will come up with some great ideas!Looking forward to the next trucking videos and hearing more about your life as a Lady Trucker.xx
