Lucky you. I believe he was at the Edinburgh Festival one year. I have been hooked on him since seeing him on America's Got Talent. He sings with such feeling in his voice.
Hi Ilona, I'm Stella. I found it interesting how you've decided to step back from your blog, I did the same three years ago, then eventually closed the blog. It was amazing how much more free time I had, I've since taken up other interests that there didn't seem to be time for. The internet and all it's glories are helpful if needing to order something or look something up but also mightily time consuming. I now feel I wasted so many hours gazing at banal stuff on blogs and elsewhere. I do still visit the occasional blog (obviously as I'm here!) but they're limited to ones that I feel offer me some value for my time. Here I like both your walking adventures and your crafts. The rest of it, such as videos, not so much but that's just me, I can speed read a blog page whereas watching a video takes too much time. I don't comment much either but today I was interested in your cutting back and wondered (as you've only had one day away from it) do you feel the pull to blog something, even if it's just putting on a video such as today's? I must admit I did feel that pull to the extent that it was similar to a withdrawal symptom and it took some time to get out of the habit and need to post something. I hope that you, as I did and still do, relish the extra time that you now have, and find pleasure in doing things that you enjoy without being constantly tied to the screen.
Hello Stella. It's early days at the moment, we'll see how it pans out. Yes, I often do think about what can I put on the blog, I hope in time I will get out of the habit. I went out for a walk today, always take a camera, and snap away for the blog. The camera reminds me of blogging. Thank you for your comment.
I did attempt to listen to Puddles but as soon as I saw him I was afraid, which I know is silly of me.I can only think it reminds me of when I was about 5 years old my parents took me to a circus and I became overwhelmed by the lion being walked into the arena, lamas walking past me and clowns running around.I was crying and I remember then sitting inside a caravan with a gypsy lady and my mum x
Hello. My working life ended 15 years ago. Now I just please myself. This is my diary. What I do and what I think about. You are welcome to read it. Toodle pip.
I saw Puddles the last time he was in the UK - it was one of the best shows I have ever been to. He has a tremendous voice.
