I've been to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park today. It's not far from Doncaster. I have taken a lot of photo's, here is one of them. The big cats are my favourite.
I really enjoyed it. It was sunny but cold, with some wind. Will put some more photo's up tomorrow when I have sorted them out.

ReplyDeleteI've not been there, but my granddaughters go often and love it, especially Victor the polar bear, if he's still there. We live about 20 miles from Doncaster.
ReplyDeleteI don't like the caging of animals, but there is plenty of space here. Massive enclosures with shelters and lots of water. All laid out with the animals welfare in mind. There are several polar bears, not sure which one is Victor. Try and go if you can.
DeleteMuch better than the old days, of only seeing them in a zoo. Not been to a park like this for a long time, and never this one. I certainly remember going to Woburn Safari Park, because it's near where I grew up. I did have the privilege of going to Kenya not too many years ago, and going on a safari. Brilliant.
ReplyDeleteK H Charlie I bet that was a great experience I used to watch Wild at Heart with with Stephen Tompkinson and Amanda Holden set in Kenya Safari as a vet living it out there Hayley Mills also appeared in this program
