Retail therapy

Hello. It rained for most of yesterday and I was bored, so I went to a local retail park. I needed to stock up on cat food anyway so it was an excuse to go out. I spent a massive £129 at Home Bargains. There was a lot of cat food, it will last me ages, and a few other things that I needed, plus some things that I wanted. I can now afford to buy some wants.
While I was at the park I went into The Range for a browse. Two things I wanted. Special dog treats for Billy, he can only have a certain kind, and some sort of receptacle for peeing in when car camping. It's a massive shop, some of it I might consider buying, but most of it I can easily pass it by. Such a lot of useless stuff for those who like to keep up with the fashions of modern living.
I rang Angela while I was in there because I remembered that she needed some hay for her guinea pig. Should I get some. She said she is fixed up already found some, and would I like to call round for a coffee. I said I would, after I have been home to feed the cats.
There is a Charity Shop at the Retail Park, quite a big one, I had a look in there. This is what I found. A very nice jacket/blouse top for £1. It's a lovely soft fabric that doesn't crease. A bonus because I don't do ironing.
I also found a pair of fleecy pj's. Both of them a perfect fit, and this also cost £1. I am holding a plastic paint bucket which I found at The Range, for £2. That will do nicely as a makeshift erm pee container. In fact I might keep it in the car permanently. There's been times when I have been caught short and had to search for a layby with a hedge. Photographs taken by Angela on her phone. We always show each other the bargains we get at Charity Shops.

Weather not looking so good today. It's been raining overnight so the fields will be well boggy. I will get on with the weaving and might make a video.
I have just noticed that the post, 'Do you wanna be in my gang', has almost reached the 2000 views mark. Just a few more needed. That was a belter wasn't it.
Enjoy your weekend. Toodle pip.  ilona

  1. Love the charity shop finds especially the blouse.
I believe you can get 'shewee's' on Amazon but they would cost you more than £2.00. lol

    1. Not keen on that idea, Briony. And I don't buy from Amazon on principle. Thanks for the suggestion.

    1. No thanks. I don't want a plastic dick. Hovering over a bucket will be fine.

  3. I love charity shops, most of my clothes are second-hand, I love a bargain. Our local car boot sale starts up again tomorrow so I'll be out bright and early to have a wander around and see what I can find. My favourite money saver is to water everything down, I can get three bottles of washing up liquid from one bottle, and one bottle of hand soap can make three or four bottles. I cut up shampoo and conditioner bottles to make sure I get the last bit out, I only use one scoop washing powder in the machine etc. I get a 'too good to go' bag at least once a week, ten pounds worth of food for £3.09 because it's near it's sell-by date, also we have a local foodshare where food is donated by the local shops rather than let it go to landfill. There's no charge and everyone is welcome to take whatever they want.
I don't see the point in spending one when I don't have to, haha!
