I've done my best but I don't have the correct tools. The strap comes from another watch, it was too long so I took about an inch off it. I have used wire to join the two pieces together. It doesn't look very tidy, but no one will see it under my sleeve. The watch itself looks scruffy, battered and scratched, but it works perfectly. I prefer a chunky watch. It will last a while longer. No need to get a new one.
That's all for now. Not a lot happening at the moment. Toodle pip. ilona
Well done you! Fab job
ReplyDeleteLooking good this morning. Not fallen off during the night.
DeleteGreat job! Glad you were able to save it. 😊 ⏱⌚️
ReplyDeleteI always look for a way to make things last a bit longer.
DeleteFor future repairs this sort of cloth tie-on strap might work well for you, Ilona, especially since you're good at sewing. What do you think?

Or maybe this sort of thing, where you can use covered elastic?
