Oooooh heck mother, my roof has gone.
Off with the old.
Looking neat and tidy so far.
Here comes the new.
An advert for the company.
Brilliant team work. Would recommend. Saved up and paid for. It was either change the car or a new roof. The car will last another year. Now let it rain. Peace of mind. Thanks for popping in. Toodle pip. ilona
Thanks Ilona for the advert, I always prefer personal recommendations. We'll be getting quotes for our roof in September. The current one is at least 60yrs old!! I doubt though that your roofers would travel to Notts.
ReplyDeleteYour comment came in just as they were clearing up. I asked how far would they be prepared to travel. They said Notts is a bit too far because time would be lost travelling back and forth. I didn't get several quotes because I had seen the work that these people do. I knew they did a good job and were quick workers. I chose them to do the job. Happy with the price they quoted. No pressure from sales people. Ask your friends and neighbours for recommendations.
DeleteThat's what I thought re.the distance. One or two on our road have had recent new roofs, I'll go door knocking & ask them. One of them looks good, the other not so!!
DeleteI am sure you feel much better come rain, snow and wind. Looks really nice, that’s hard work. Looks nice mother!!
ReplyDeleteI was impressed with how they got on with the job. I had to wait for two months though because they have a good reputation. Now I don't have to worry about bad weather.
DeleteGreat! A good roof is very important! Marian
ReplyDeleteIt is indeed.
DeleteI read your blog lots, but don't like to "join" so haven't left comments. Just wanted to say that I love your pictures of yourself on the right side of the blog! I love to read about you, so far away in England, a great trucker retired and living how she wants. I'm glad you got a new roof! RuthW in MD
ReplyDeleteHello Ruth. I change the comments settings to members only when I need a break from those who are looking for trouble. If I allow anyone to comment I just delete those I do not want. Thank you for sticking around, even if I do go quiet from time to time.
DeleteCongratulations on the roof! I just had to put a new one on our house after 30+ years. It was synchronicity that I found the company who had done it the last time. It was so expensive, I worry about it all winter, but now that it is done I also feel peace of mind, and I’m very lucky That there were no leaks despite worn out roofing tiles. You’re in good shape for decades to come
ReplyDeleteIt's a good feeling knowing that your roof is not going to fly off in the wind.
