Making felt flowers

Hello. The weather is good so far, but it could deteriorate pretty quickly at any moment.. When I've finished this I'm off outside, I have lawns to mow, wish me luck. I made a little video this morning and it's ready on yoootooob. Seven minutes and 51 seconds long. If you want to make felt flowers here's how to do it. You can sew them onto anything as embellishments.

Rip off Britain update. This is what I found in the paper version of the Radio Times, and online. I think this is going to be me. It is scheduled to go out on Friday the 6th of May at 9.15am. It's a 45 minute programme.

SUMMARY
A woman who spends only a fraction of the average weekly shop reveals her secret.

So get your recorders set up to BBC 1, or watch live if you are at home, or watch on catch up later which is what I will have to do. Some of the older programmes are on yoootooob so I suppose this one will be eventually.

Right, I have jobs to do outside, so I'll sign off. Have a nice Bank Holiday weekend.
Thanks for popping in, we'll catch up soon.

  1. Thanks for the tips on how you cut out your 'no waste' petals/flowers - I would love to see a video of how you sew on your beads, as they always look so neat. And my recorder is set for next Friday. Enjoy the rest of your weekend Ilona :)

  2. Hooray we have been waiting for this for so long. I am interested in felt as when I was a child we used to make cushions decorated with felt. I would like to learn how to sew better and use it to save money and make my house creative. I will look at your video. Hampshire was largely dry today and sunny although it is still cold! I had a lovely day with friends. So glad for a chance to see them it is hard with work. Have a good day.

  5. I'll be watching on Friday, Ilona. Miles walked at the end of April = 332. On target, just but I had quite a few lazy days this month. Funny how I don't mind the cold in the winter but when it should be spring and doesn't feel like it I just hide indoors.

  6. I totaled up my miles for April; 47.3: not my best effort. I start my second job on Tues. so it may even be less next month. Eeeesch…I know it all helps, but putting it down on paper makes me realize how little i walk every month.
