Making the most of a sunny day

It was a lovely day for a walk, sunny and warm. It was very calm, no wind to turn the blades on the turbines. Another five miles added to my total. just gone over the 700 mark, need to finish on 750 by the end of the month. I'm sure I will.  This field was full of wild flowers, mainly red poppies and purple thistles with splashes of yellow.
I'm still sewing the buttons on the heart, a few more to go. It's looking good. I'll take it to Crafty Club in the morning.

  1. That's a beautiful field Ilona,I couldn't see the poppies at first until I looked closer.Today my lovely lily took us on a diverted walk,as she does. She followed her nose and possibly squirrels and I hurried after her with little teddy refusing to go that way and I then had to carry him to catch up.I wished I'd taken my pedometer as I think I'm doing my walk twice- it's striding out,and then running back to follow them- little sweethearts x

  2. I agree,it was a nice day yesterday.Sun shining here, but a lot cooler than what it has been, which is a perfect day for me.I love this time of the year.I have got a small area in my garden where earlier on in the year I scattered the free wild flower seeds that I had been sent.It has been lovely watching them grow from week to week.I never know what is going to be there next and there have been some lovely flowers appear!.A lot of them have grown from last year as well.At the moment we have some quite large daisies and what was tiny yellow buds, turn into little white pompom type flowers.I havent got a clue what any of them are!.I also spotted some purple and yellow flowers that are on some plants in one of my growing food containers and remembered that I had scattered some chilli seeds a few months back.Just kitchen scrap ones!.So I am pleased that they have took as well.Sorry to say I didnt get any walking miles in yesterday.Unless backwards and forwards hanging washing out counts, lol.Hope to walk for an hour or so today, because it seems the less I do,the more tired I get!xx

  3. Glad you had a lovely day walking in the fields. I did lots in the garden repotting lots of big pots until my G.S. and his girlfriend Jess gave me a surprise visit and I made use of him to move a could of big, big pots. It was a lovely weekend. Weather looks unsettled at the moment so hopefully it will brightened up I want to finish of in the garden.
