Good morning. The start of a new week. The Bedroom Art Gallery will be packed up and put away today. It was exciting to get it all out, and re discover pieces that I had forgotten about. Now it's time to put it to bed, until next time. I want to keep it clean, sometime in the future I may wish to sell some of it, so it must be in good condition.
Anyway, I'm going to be busy today. I'll put this link in here, in case people with an enquiring mind wish to further explore the current situation. Evidence not Fear gathers their information from lots of different sources. Free thinkers might want to take a look, those who dislike what I put on my blog might choose to ignore this. I don't mind.
Thanks for popping in. Catch ya later. Toodle pip. ilona
Good morning from sunny Wales 🌞(yes, really!) Thanks for the link Ilona, nice to see good, factual information instead of the usual fear-driven drama. Something worth thinking about is that the survival rate with Covid is more than 99%,yet we're told that we have to wait for a vaccine before we can get back to 'normal'. Why? No vaccine for any of the corona viruses has ever been 100% effective, - far from it - so where does that leave us? Yes, exactly the same position as we're in now. The only sensible thing to do is protect those who are, or feel, vulnerable, while the rest of us live our lives as normal and gain herd immunity, something which is already starting to happen. Have a lovely day, Ilona, I'm off for a walk in the sunshine 😊 xx
ReplyDeleteI can't see that people will want to wear a mask forever.
DeleteAt first, I and most people I know were completely taken in by the news reports. It wasn't long before doubts started to set in, the lies became more and more obvious and downright ridiculous. I still know a couple of people who believe it but the rest can see through it now. It's a shame that some people are living in fear. Have you heard that flu has 'mysteriously disappeared' all over the world? Flu cases have plummeted to an all-time low. Two words - Marathon. Snickers. Know what I mean? I'm off to bed, it's getting late and I need my beauty sleep, lol (think I'd need to hibernate for the Winter for that to work!) 😂 night-night.
DeleteOh my goodness, Ilona. That website... sheesh! I didn't think anyone needed anymore proof that the virus is real, that masks curtail its spread, and social distancing is the only smart thing to do. Websites like the one you listed should be banned from the internet as they're very dangerous. I sincerely hope you're not one of those people who catches the virus and says, right before you're put on a ventilator,: "I was wrong... it's real... be careful!" ~Andrea
ReplyDeleteCompletely agree with you Feminine Energy. I simply don't under the fuss about wearing a mask. Because so many people over here do wear them and follow the rules, I'm able to go into the office two days a week - riding public transit - shop - go to the library - sit on a patio (yes, it's cold but we're coping), meet friends for walks in the park and a catch up and even our schools are managing to stay open. Our numbers have gone up a bit due to family gatherings for Thanksgiving and young people flouting many of the rules so things have rolled back slightly and they are publicly shamed - numbers are now down a bit today and they will look at the numbers over the next two weeks before deciding on the next step. It is very clear that our behaviour determines what happens next to US!
DeleteWe have a population of 35million and we have had 10,000 deaths - it would have been a LOT higher if we hadn't instituted restrictions - the US has a population of 350million so if they had done the same thing as us their number of dead would be around 100,000. Instead they have 225,000 dead and the death rate is back up to 1,000 people PER DAY and it is expected to go up a LOT in the next couple of weeks because of the number of hospitalizations. Many hospitals are already at capacity and are moving patients to other states. What some people can't get through their heads is the ripple effect - if someone has an accident, stroke or heart attack and hospitals are already full with COVID patients then they die as well - and in an indirect way it was from COVID.
I'm a bit confused since Ilona loves her freedom to travel and her walks - since she would be on the list of those who would be kept at home isn't a mask a small thing to do in order to be able to get out and about?
Thank you Margie, I think you mentioned this once before.
DeleteMargie, I live in the US. The numbers are being exaggerated now due to the upcoming presidential election. One candidate is using exaggerated numbers to weasel his way into the office of president; he will not succeed. But, we did wear the useless masks and "social distanced." We do not judge Canada, please do not judge us.
DeleteOh, and by the way, you are talking a load of bollocks.
DeleteAndrea, I am a grown up, I know what I am doing. You just look after yourself.
DeleteI live in the USA and we have now got 70000 new cases a day of the virus. I hope and pray that we get a new president with some knowledge and professionalism to get a new start in this country. No more drama
Deletethe art gallery looked great. had a quick look at the link to the website, handy to have lots of info all in one place. There is lots of info about Covid on the internet, some good, some bad, some proved, some not proven as yet, you make your mind up about what is best for your and your family...as for being banned, there are lots of websites that should be banned yet are still there, sharing child photo's etc, that kind of sick perverted stuff...
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to know you are okay and have your mind clear and fearless. Here, almost the same. I have been with a small problem in a muscle of my right leg, (my foot, when walking, entered a hole on the ground, and it hurted...nothing broken or twisted, but the pain was real and bad). Getting better!! Here it's a sunny day, I'm trying, once again to make gluten free bread, my attempts, have been either disgusting or exciting, anyway, but the pigeons liked the result...hehehehehe, I'm making vegetable soup for lunch, and all okay, cats and dogs, so what I wish you is a beautiful healphy sunny week and mind ( :) )...hugs!!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant link Ilona. So much useful information. Keep up the good work. We will not live in fear.
ReplyDeleteI am trying to offer an alternative to the biased main stream media. People can look into it if they choose, or can ignore it. That's all I can do. People are living in fear and it doesn't have to be like that if they get a balanced picture.
DeleteIf hearing about Kate Garaways 53 year old husband whose still in a coma MONTHS after contracting COVID doesn’t put the bejesus in the conspiracy theorists I don’t know what will.
ReplyDeleteAnd If wearing a piece of cloth over my gob and keeping away from people saves me from contracting this potentially DEADLY BEAST of a virus then I’m prepared to do that for as long as the Government tells us to. Life’s still good it isn’t making me depressed.
I’m on the side of the masses not the minority 😊
You may find that the balance swings the other way. I am not on anyone's side, I am on my side.
Delete"as long as the GOVERNMENT tells us to." And if the government says too many people are in your family so you have to kill one, you going to do that, too? You going to no longer eat your food of choice because the government tells you not to? You going to live only in town because the government tells you not to live in the country? The list is endless. This equates to communism in the long run. Think about it.
DeleteI despair Cate.
DeleteThis is way beyond a virus - this is about domination, control and dictatorship. So said a doctor. It's also about censorship and propaganda. It's not just about silly masks and who wears the. They’ve destroyed businesses and jobs; increased poverty; hurt people’s mental health; hurt the elderly in care homes; hurt the healthy by piling on the panic, fear, anxiety and stress. There are many epidemiologists, immunologists, public health scientists and medical experts who oppose the barmy ideas of this small political clique, but to no avail. Given all we’ve read - just shield and protect people at risk and let the rest of the population acquire natural immunity - not building up immunity is going to be a disaster further down the road. The public can largely see through all this crap they come out with - it’s totally illogical and serves little practical health purpose but it’s hard to stand up to any of it as they’re now using the police force to uphold their political agenda. And don’t get me started on the attack on our rights to free speech, free expression and privacy …. All going out of the window. And some of us care about that.
ReplyDeleteI have just seen a report of the police entering a church in Wales, while a service was going on, demanding that they break it up and go home to pray.
DeleteHooray, someone who hasn't had the wool pulled over their eyes. My sentiment exactly, well said.
DeleteYes, Ilona! Fear tactics have spread this more than anything. I agree 100% with the article. When you put fear in the people, you can control them. You and I have lived long enough to know better than to fall for fear tactics that the millennials are exhibiting. What's sad is, those of us over 65 who are going into panic mode with all we have witnessed in life. THANK YOU for taking the right stance against this government domination that the whole world is experiencing.
ReplyDeleteI can only do what I feel is right, Cate. It grieves me to see so many are trusting of the government and the media. The stop start of lockdowns, the covering of the mouth, is not going to stop it. It has to run it's course.
DeleteSo true.
DeleteThank you for the link, I look forward to visiting it later today. Right now I promised my dog Bounce to go on a walk. Those promises must not be broken! A sad thing I find is that some people support banning info they don't like. In the USA news outlets, Twitter, etc. are banning a lot of things they don't like, which is a lousy thing to do. Thanks for sharing the link, I liked the Vernon Coleman videos.
ReplyDeleteDog walking is a great leveller. Time to think, time to enjoy your pet.
DeleteI have got a feeling that we will be next as Nottingham, might go into tier 3 and we in Leicester are next to them.We as a Family have worn mask when out, worn gloves,..taken every precaution when living in a city.I just wish every one had have done the same, since March, like we have,xx
ReplyDeleteThe website you linked to today is much more informative than previous links, however it is still very much one sided.
ReplyDeleteI think the government has made many mistakes in their handling of the outbreak, but it's a unique disease and not much is really known about it.
I do think the majority of people who get it will pull through BUT sadly vulnerable people will die prematurely.
We have had a few cases at work this week in one of our offices. Two people were car sharing and one tested positive after showing symptoms. The other one had no symptoms but had to go for a test. They tested positive and so have three more people all who worked closely. Its quite scary how it spreads.
They are in their 30s and 40s, it's not that is the concern as much for them but their more vulnerable family members.
I just think that we all have to do our bit until more is known about this disease, we may very well just have to learn to live with it, but in the interim and in the interests of looking after each other we all have to play our part.
My thoughts, no car sharing with anyone outside the family bubble. I see driving instructors giving lessons, both instructor and pupil wearing masks. I think there is a risk in this.
DeleteI live in the United States. We're at 230,000 deaths. 8 million cases. Our CDC (as does the WHO) has a much different take on things that this link does. The fact that this site does not clearly state who is putting it out raises red flags right there. There are some very serious inaccuracies here. In the end, we all must do what we think we should. My take on it is simple. I believe in kindness. I am not worried at all about getting covid. But I know that many elderly people do. I wear a mask to show my respect for my fellow human beings.
ReplyDeleteNo-one seems to agree what a case is. There is a vast difference between those who have none or very mild symptoms, and those who end up dying. What percentage out of the whole population are your deaths. Did they die of Covid, or with it? What was their general health like leading up to the time when they were tested positive? The test has been proved to be flawed. Too many variable to make a sweeping statement.
DeleteThank you for sharing that link on COVID. Sanity is lacking elsewhere I fear.
ReplyDeleteA Durham councillor has been on TV saying the virus doesn’t exist. Her reason for saying this is because none of her friends, family, neighbours or work-mates have had it. UNBELIEVABLE!
ReplyDeleteShe said she doesn’t wear a mask and doesn’t use hand sanitiser.. is advising people to switch off their TVs and throw away their masks.
Sounds like she has been following Doctor Vernon Coleman. People are waking up.
DeletePS. Barb, I think it would be a good idea to switch off your TV set. Then you wouldn't be worried about Kate Garraway's husband.
DeleteJust watched a bit of Doctor V C ilona he was throwing his balls up in the air 😂.
DeleteBeing he’s an old man does he go out without a mask and not use sanitiser do you know?
He looked to have that kindly old doctor type of face, but then I used to say that about Doctor Harold Shipman until we got to know the truth about his dastardly deeds 😂
Vernon Coleman has stated that neither he or his wife wear a mask, they are exempt. He believes sanitizers are dangerous due to the chemicals in them, and should not be administered onto the skin.
