Wheelie good fun

What a fun afternoon I've had. 😁😆😏 Luckily the weather was ok for a litter pick. Only one shower which quickly passed over. I went back to Flixborough Industrial Estate where I knew it would be easy to fill a couple of bags of rubbish.
There is a wheelie bin on the side of the first road where drivers deposit their litter upon arrival or before they leave. I spotted this last time I was here, so I gave myself the challenge of filling it. No bag needed, just chuck all the grot in.
Not much in, now get to work and fill it.

Oh lord, look at this bag of filth I just pulled out of the ground. It was half buried and was home to millions of ants. Sorry, you've gotta go in the bin.

And here's another one. Not buried but hidden in the bushes. I can see a bottle of pee in there. Straight into the bin.

This is the entrance to Bellwin House Business Centre. There should be a gate but that's been knocked down many years ago. The whole site is littered with fly tipping. It's private property, so I'll just get some photo's.
Lots of electric cables stripped for the metal. Lots of household rubbish.

This is the view of the front from the roadside. Every window is smashed.

I've found a bit of info about it, from this video.
2 storey office block built in the 1980s with a private car park for over 45 cars. The site was used as separate offices. The office complex was used as a grow farm for cannabis back in 2008. MOD and police were involved for the disposal of the plants. The grow was a 4 million pound find. It took Humberside police several days to clear it all out - this was a major drug operation. In 2016 it was renovated and put up for sale and was withdrawn in Sept 2016. However it sold in Feb 2022 for £125,000.
Apparently it went to auction in 2013. Here is the photo of it at that time.
They really should be doing something with it now. Sorry, I digress. The wheelie bin is now full.
I decided I still had time to fill a red bag, there is plenty more litter to pick.

And so it was time to go home . As I was packing my trolley away a car pulled up next to the bin. I watched a man get a couple of boxes out of his boot and put them in. After he drove off I was curious to see what he had thrown away, so I took a photo. Rubbish from home. He should have put those cans into his recycling bin.

That's me almost done.

I dropped them at my usual spot at the Pond. The smaller bags are full of glass bottles.

A job well done I would say. This post is probably not of interest to a lot of people, but it is a record for me to keep, and look back on in later years.
Thanks for popping in. Toodle pip.   ilona
