Good morning. It is Sunday.
The weather today will be cloudy and windy, so says my computer. It was very windy yesterday when I drove to Roxby village and left my car there, to walk to Winterton Show. It's a four mile circular walk along open fields. Very pleasant it was too.
I spent a couple of hours there. Didn't take many photo's because I have seen it all before.

And July 2025 I see the entrance fee has gone from £10 to £15 this year.
Decorated floats circumnavigate the ring. Give the kids a wave. They are loving it.
Out of the wind inside the big tents. It was very hot under cover. I thought about taking a stand in the craft tent. I'm glad I didn't, it was stifling in there.
The wind was still raging as I walked back to the car. I met a dog walker and we agreed how nice and warm it was, even with a breeze.
I don't think I need to go again next year. I am running out of new places to visit within half an hour from home.

ReplyDeleteFees to get into anywhere nowadays is so expensive.. 🙃 they must make a €€€€€€ who owns the field... but it's costs alot too main it no doubt..
Did you take your own food with you ilona ..bet tbe food was pricey thereafter they sold food..

Hi Levi. If I am going out locally for about 3 - 4 hours, I have a substantial meal before I go. I take snacks, maybe a sandwich, and a drink with me, that will see me through until I get home. I don't buy food when I am out. I take enough to last me.
Delete@Yes I agree, they are usually the same every year, but I still go to the Staffordshire County Agricultural Show every year, but try to concentrate on a different thing each year. Easy to do as it's so big. This year I watched the show jumping which was actually quite exicing as they were eliminated in each round and knocked jumps down,... and they were so graceful,... horses and riders. I also spent alot of time in the WI tent,... mainly because of the portable air conditioning units they had in there - I guess to stop all the cakes from melting lol ..... Norma in Stafford.
