Hello again. Very windy weather today, so I have been indoors a lot. Almost finished the Walled Garden picture, looking good.
I have pulled a name out of a box, no hats available, and have a winner for the second shopping bag. Step forward Lilly's Mom, and tell me your postal address so I can post it off to you. Put it in a comment which I won't publish, or use the email address on the side bar.
It's getting late and the battery is getting a bit low in my brain, it's starting to malfunction. I am a morning person so I will be back tomorrow when suitably refreshed after a nights sleep. Thanks for popping in.

Congratulations to the winner. It is a bit foggy and a bit windy here too.
ReplyDeleteIlona very kind of you to give everyone a second chance at one of your bags.
ReplyDeleteCongrats Lilly's Mom - enjoy your bag.
I second that Sandy, the same thought went through my head. JanF

ReplyDeleteGood show to the winner. Natalie
ReplyDeleteHi Ilona, Sorry I'm a bit late checking in but May was rather a lazy month for me. A last minute push and I managed to get up to 414 miles. Love the bags!
ReplyDeleteHope Lilly's Mom finds plenty of bargains to fill her new, unique, shopping bag.
ReplyDeleteWeather here is beautiful, good gardening weather.
Congrats to the lucky winners!
ReplyDeleteI logged 146 miles for May, Ilona....yay! May was a great month for some scenic walking!

HI, Ilona,
ReplyDeleteThis isn't abouts bags, but I was just wondering, as you have a good following of readers if you or anyone knows where I might re-cycle used Christmas and Greetings cards (birthday and so forth.) I have kept them for years and years and am totally swamped with them, but they seem too pretty to put in the recycling waste. I have phoned our local hospice charity and they don't accept them and I don't want to wait until after next Christmas to recycle them in one of the boxes that some of the stores have for the used cards. So, Ilona, do you or any of your readers have any ideas? I need to be able to dispose of them locally so it would have to be a charity which has an outlet in most towns, British Heart Foundation, Save the Children, etc.
All good wishes,
Margaret P
A lady in my WI collects them and her brother makes them into handmade crads which he sells to raise funds for charity. I wonder if a group in your area might be able to do a similar thing. Do you have a local 'streetlife'? I use ours a lot and have both given away and received things free of charge. There might be a crafting group that would love to use them
DeleteAny place where they might like to cut out pictures etc. How about Day Care or Pre Schools? Or centres for the elderly, Assited Living place, they often have craft sessions. JanF
DeleteMaybe some of the crafty readers on here may have a use for them. or try Ebay.
DeleteHi, I know our local primary school use to make use of them maybe you could contact them or the library.
ReplyDeleteGood luck.
