Handles and boxy bottoms.

Hello. Thanks to the Walking Group members for checking in, it's nice to see so many sticking with it. Don't worry if you are not quite so active as you would like to be, the better weather is coming so you can get out more. Well done to those who are storming ahead, as one member says, she is in it for the long haul. Walking on a regular basis is a lifestyle choice, a little bit is better than none at all.

I wasn't going to make a second video on making shopping bags, because there are already a lot out there, but hey ho, here is one to show making a boxy bottom, and attaching the handles.

It's looking like a nice day today, and I have things to do. Done a Bailey walk this morning, now going to see Janet, then going to the Arts Centre where they have a free drop in for a photography lesson, also drop some skip dive stuff off at the charity shop.

I'll leave it with you. Thanks for popping in, we'll catch up soon.

  2. These bags are great thanks for the video lesson. I’ve got some old fabric lying around in the cupboard so I’ll have a go!

  5. There is a problem with Blogger, not letting any comments through. I have taken the moderation off, so in theory all comments should be appearing.

  7. Evening Ilona

Good idea "boxing" the bags. I've made a few for a dog charity, lady used them in the tombola. I used 'doggie' fabric, as thought it might encourage more people to part with their cash (appealing to male/female, young/old).

    Hope you're feeling better.

  8. Putting the moderation back on, don't want to find a load of spam junk in the morning. Looks like the blockage has cleared.

  9. As I once mentioned, because I only use a smart phone, for some reason I cannot see the videos on the blog, BUT, if I go to you tube I can watch them. Best of all Ilona, now that you have put them all in one place, I can find any that I have missed. Thanks for that, it's so much easier to find what I want. :-)

    1. Hi Jean. They have always been in one place. I have to upload to yoootooob first, then copy and paste the link from there to put it on my blog.

    2. Oh, that's odd. In the past they have appeared intermingled with other videos on any subject and from all sorts of people. Now I enter your name and all of yours come up one after the other in a long list. Also I was sure that recently I read that you had said that you had altered something so that they were all together now. Am I dreaming or has my phone just done something clever? :)

    3. When you go onto yoootooob you will always get a selection of video suggestions on the side, depending on what you have watched before. They will be all mixed up, not from the same contributor. If you only want to see what I have uploaded you have to put in my name, as you have discovered. I haven't altered anything, you must have dreamt it.

  10. Glad to hear you're feeling better - being ill when it's cold & wet is extra-miserable. Forced myself to go out for a walk in the fresh air (and sleet!)yest.. ended up really enjoying it - down by a local canal, lots of trees & birds song, and lovely bright yellow daffs in flower. maybe this walking lark isn't so bad?!?!

  11. Great video again Ilona, you make it look so easy!.I didnt realise just how easy it is to do the boxy bits.Im spending the next hour preparing a load of veg that i bought from Aldi for my freezer.Carrots, turnips, parsnips, and leeks. All only 19p a bag.I bought 3 of each,so that should keep us going for a while.Ive noticed that Aldi have started doing half price bread, baps ect when its got the days date on it.So Ive stocked up and froze them aswell. You have to really look because its only a thin red stripe down the pack, saying Half Price,50% off.So I picked up some good bargains there aswell.Hope everyones having a good day. After rainy start here in Leic it looks errmm...well a bit brighter now, lol.xx
