Need a kick up the bum.

It's almost the end of the month and my walking has fallen by the wayside in the last week. I am getting behind in the mileage count. It's been raining for most of the day so I have stayed in, it's not raining now and I have been in two minds whether to go out or not. Keep changing my mind. Something is telling me that I should, but can't be arsed. So I think I will leave it for now. I'll see what tomorrow brings, it might be a bit brighter. Anyone else feeling less motivated than they have been?    ilona

  1. Yes Ilona lots of days like that, sometimes feel a littl depression creeping in but I just do something anything and I usually start feeling better, you seem to be pushing yourself to hard doing to many things at once, maybe step back a little and rest a little.xx

  3. I've been off and on like that all Summer - the heat & humidity just drains all my energy. It cooled down a bit last week so I am starting to feel as though I'm coming out of the fog.
Considering all that you do Ilona I think you should be allowed a few days off now and again - you will bounce back.

  5. After a busy week, sometimes a girl just needs to put her feet up, let her hair down and enjoy some down time to regroup and re-energize! You’ve earned it. Enjoy!

  6. You're probably a little exhausted from driving to and from the art show. Give yourself a little down time, and you'll soon be back to normal.

  7. Yes I seem to have lost my motivation too. It,s the end of winter here and I hate to get up and going. But I find that if I just start it's fine. Just hard starting. Maybe we need to slow down sometimes. Good luck with your show. You have done a huge amount of work. Wish I were closer and could have a look, the photos show your work well though. You are very talented. Ann

  9. I have injured my groin and the pain is really getting me down. My doctor has said that long walks aren't good for me just now so I am on hold for a while. I was doing so well too.

  10. I'm not taking part in the walking but feeling the same, think the change to gloomy weather isn't helping. Maybe some brighter days this week will help.

  12. Me too Ilona. Am putting it down to the weather here being cold, wet and miserable recently and makes you feel anything but getting yourself motivated. You just want to stay indoors in weather like that.

  13. Oh, it has been a summer here! Family in the hospital, so miles driving back and forth, hideously hot weather alternating with torrential rain, muscle spasms in back, you name it, and it has interfered with my walking program. It is clear now that I won't meet my modest goal of 500 miles, so I need to set a new goal and try to get on with it as best I can. It's reassuring to know that I'm not the only one lagging behind. Let's all just keep trying to do the best we can do.

  14. I’ve got behind on my own personal target this month as well. Not sure why, other than I’ve just been caught up with other activities. I’m actually quite relieved to see I’m not the only one!
