New video out now.

Hello. We're having a real mixed bag of weather at the moment. This morning it started off raining, then got heavier and heavier, and I was out in it walking Bailey poodle. He didn't like it so we cut the walk short. I've been back this afternoon for another 20 minute walk because we now have brilliant sunshine.

I'm doing all sorts of crafty things at the moment, ideas coming out of my ear holes. There have been requests for more videos, so after my morning coffee and before breakfast, I made this one.

It's great to see the International Walking Group checking in with their miles, some good numbers there, I'm proud of you all. Don't forget you can go back to that post on the first of the month at any time and add your miles, if you forget to do it on the day.

I'll leave you to watch the video. Thanks for popping in, we'll catch up soon.

  1. I'm with you all the way on junk coming in handy. Sometimes I know Tom thinks I'm mad with the things I save but sooner or later they all come in handy.

  2. I went to the Hull Scrapstore yesterday on your recommendation. It was a little hard to find but well worth the visit. I came away with loads of stuff. Thanks. Deb

    1. Yes, not easy to find, in the middle of housing, some older some new. Not much parking either. The staff and volunteers are very helpful as well. Glad you found some stuff, now you can get creative.

  3. Ha! You are crazy, like a fox!we should all be as creative as you!
I’ve just come back from running the dog to the vet. While in town, I stopped into the thrift stores to see about some items for my junk journals. What fun to dig around for odds and ends! I still spent money but not as much as I could have.
Thanks for cheering us on; it all helps!

  4. Hi MQ
I’m not sure if you still do Facebook, but there was an item on my newsfeed the other day from the Prima magazine page, all about recycling arts & crafts. Immediately made me think of you! Looked interesting, lots of photos of links to other pages, so more visual than instructive....
Love your art work, would have enjoyed seeing it for real (I’m not a million miles from Burton when "home") but I’m not likely to get back to the UK anytime soon. Hope it all goes well.

    1. Hi. I am on Facebook but can't find that. There was something about a workshop but it is in Hampshire, so too far away.

  6. I keep all sorts of stuff that I come across.I never buy any of it,I just try to be creative with what Ive got or what I find on my travels!.Although Ive been trying to declutter alot of things in my house...although you wouldnt think it to look at it,lol...I come across things that I have maybe had for 40 odd years or more.So now I see how I can upcycle it to give it some life again! Although,Im not to sure that my old school reports, from nearly 50 years ago, have any use,lol...I still cannot bare to get rid of them!.Well, today the sun is shining here in Leicester,so Im going to get out in the garden and paint some old plant pots.xx
