Pushed out by a cat

Good morning on this sunny Sunday. An update on the lollipop trees artwork. This is the backdrop that they will be attached to. Still a lot to do on it, more stitching required, hand and machine. I have put a layer of wadding underneath to give it a quilted effect. Another layer of wadding will go inside when I put the back on, so the wire of the frame will be padded both sides.
Look at this little madam. Mayze pesters me that much, walking along the desk in front of me so I can't see the computer screen, to tell me she want's my chair. She usually wins, as I am not going to get anything done if I don't move. She makes me laugh, she darts about everywhere, and I love her.

Things to do so I'll say Toodle pip for now.  ilona

  1. I play scrabble a lot on the desktop and non cat lovers would not believe how I crane my neck around her to see the screen. lol. Know exactly what you mean. Once again the wall hanging is going to be brilliant.

    1. Isn't it a nuisance when they launch themselves onto the keyboard.

  2. Lovely photo of dear Mayze on your chair. These fur babies take over sometimes but we love them anyway. Your artwork is so colourful you have great patience and it shows in the work you produce. Amy is in as we are having thunderstorms tonight as for dear Benny he is getting on a bit and will arrive when he is hungry he loves cuddles a wash and brush up and loads of love. Have a lovely day Ilona and your darlings. Love Liz Amy and Benny.xxxxx

  3. Thats coming on well Ilona!.If it was mine I would still be thinking what to do with it and it would be in the cupboard by now, lol. You are very dedicated once you get an idea...something I sadly lack!!.I know what you mean with the cats wanting to be involved with everything you do.Mine are just the same and think nothing of strolling over the lap top, pressing keys on their way.Storm, one the lads, insist on getting as close as he can to the screen and rest his head on the key pad bit.He sits for ages like that while I am reading stuff!.Ive told him he will end up needing glasses.I sit there singing..Storm in a teacup..a song by the Fortunes many years ago.If anyone saw me they would be sending for the men in white coats, lol.Thats a lovely photo of Mayze, she looks so content and happy!,xx

    1. She is happy now, she's just been bullying Oscar, I had to tell her off. Poor Oscar.

  4. My cat sits behind the laptop screen and when she spies my fingers typing she reaches round the screen to catch them. It makes me jump!!

  5. Mayze is just thinking of your welfare. ;-)

She wants to be sure you don't sit too long and develop sciatica or something along those lines.

Loving your various art projects. Particularly the mixed and changing media. Keeps it interesting for you and many still useful things out of our landfills. :-)

You are a good steward of our planet, Ilona.

Apologies if words are mangled. Auto-correct is having a field day!

  6. I know it's only in fun but please don't grumble about your cat. I've just been told my cat has terminal cancer and he's home for palliative care. I will have lost three cats in two years. I can't tell you how devastated I am. He's 17 and until last Saturday he was in perfect health so the diagnosis was a massive shock. Fiona x

    2. Sorry to hear this; i had 3 cats up till a few months ago when Harry had to (suddenly) be put down, and my 2nd cat is now in the palliative care stage, after going blind out of the blue. It's stressful and difficult but I'm determined to make Fifi's life as comfortable & fun for her for as long as I can. If you read Ilona's blog regularly you will know that she is very much an animal lover. Take care and enjoy the rest of your time with your cat, for as long as possible.

    3. Thank you. He went to the vet this morning who couldn't believe how lively he was as he jumped all round the room. He's being spoilt rotten. Meals are smoked salmon, salmon fillet, prawns, chicken, duck breast etc. He's had another steroid jab and another appt booked for next week. I know Ilona's an animal lover - it just sort of touched a raw nerve. Hope everyone understands. Fiona x

  7. Pets always get their own way and our dog is the same. She lifts her paw and tries to knock my mobile phone out of my hand so she can put her head on my lap when I'm sitting down.
