A sewing day today

The sunrise this morning made pink fluffy clouds, very pretty. It didn't last long, gone in a matter of minutes.
It's been sunny all day. I didn't go to Crafty Club, stayed at home and got on with some sewing. At lunch time I picked up my friends from the railway station, they had three days in London and seen three shows, the Tina Turner show being the best of the three.

Sewing friend came round this afternoon to learn some more stitches. We did French knots, bullion stitches, and couching, and refreshed on the stitches we did last week. I have sent her away to practice on what we have already done. She will be ready for a project soon.

  1. It is nice to hear your friend is enjoying her stitching journey, be interesting to see what her first project turns out to be.

    1. I have just cut out the fabric needed to make a needle case, delivered it to her, explained how to sew it together, she has a week to finish it.

    1. Although I think those trees are far to big, they are in the garden which backs onto mine, it's interesting to photograph them in the different seasons. The downside is that a lot of the leaves fall off into my garden.

  3. How lucky your sewing friend is to have you as her teacher!

I never seem to get up in time to see the sunrises but a nice photo.

    1. I don't always catch the sunrise in the summer when it starts to appear anytime after 4am.
