Making progress.

I've kept myself busy today. Added more texture on the board, cut up bits of fabric and lace. Now it's ready to arrange all the bits and bobs, I'll make a start on that tomorrow.
I emptied the fridge yesterday and used up all the oddments. Left over steamed vegetables from the day before, two onions that had an October 2019 date on the bag, and green lentils. I added the last bit of cream cheese and garlic which made a nice sauce. It was very nice.

Billy was keen to go a walk as always, he had a good hour and was pulling the whole time. I tried to steer him towards home but he insisted we go off in another direction. He loves his walkies.
As the fridge was bare I thought I had better go shopping. I got to Aldi at 6.15pm and went straight in. A few people in, not many. Plenty of distancing and people being polite. Luckily they had the cat food in that I wanted, Whiskas wet and dry for Mayze and Oscar, and Sheba for Heidi. That will save me having to go to town for it. When I came out at 7pm the car park was almost empty. I am going to stick to these times when I go shopping in the future.
I have deleted a lot of people off my Twitter, anything newsy or political has gone. Cutting down on who I watch on yooootooob, no politics or news. I'll be looking for more art and music in future. I need to get out of this rut. Thank you for your supportive comments on the previous post.
Have a nice weekend. Toodle pip.  ilona

  1. I also recommend YouTube channels like the National Trust Garden tours and the National Gallery's lectures on specific paintings - I have found these to be both distracting and relaxing.

  4. Hello. I am really liking those pouches of heat and eat lentils, makes the job of cooking so much easier, and they taste good too. I like the pouches of rice as well, different varieties. I will never cook rice from scratch again.

  5. PS. Another idea, you could warm up a portion of lentils in a pan and break an egg into it. Scrambled egg and lentils on toast. Yum.

  6. Ilona - I love watching this Utube channel, homeysada - he lives out in the wilds of America - he has a lovely cat and there are other wild animals around his homestead. This link is his latest posting after not sharing for a few months (whilst snowbound I suspect). Some of his earlier video's are lovely as well - hope you like them :) https://youtu.be/pM5A6SbxuEM
