Meeeow.

Mayze wasn't too keen on being put in a box and taken on a car journey. The lady vet says she has a bit of congestion in her nose. She gave her a check up, stuck a thermometer up her bum, weighed her, administered an antibiotic, and checked her mouth. I have some ointment to put on her food which will sooth her sore gums.
Please let me out, mum. She is now in her favourite place on a mat on the table next to the radiator, which isn't switched on by the way. Don't tell her.
After I have eaten this bowl of stew I am off for a walk. Catch ya later.  ilona

No going back

My first job. 1976. I was working for Nestle, a class 3 vehicle, doing shop deliveries. A fresh faced 27 year old looking forward to doing my dream job. Derby Telegraph took this photo for an article they wrote about me. Life was good, it was exciting. It was hard, but exciting. Enough to spur me on to do the job I chose, the job I loved. Looking back over the 32 years, I would do the same thing all over again.
Life is different now. We are lucky in this country to have had choices about what we want to do with our lives. There have been opportunities to follow our hopes and dreams. Anyone who wanted to further their education and job prospects, have been able to do so. The tools were available to do that.
At some point along the way things changed. We had to accept new legislation which came in from Brussels. We had to adapt to new laws, new rules. I went along with it because I loved my job and I needed to earn a living. I knuckled down. To retire from the stranglehold of ever restricting legislation was a relief.
The game isn't over for many still working, there is a new monster on the horizon. It's been there for a long time, only we haven't taken much notice of it because we thought it will never happen. But it is happening right now. 2030 is the deadline set for the New World Order to come into being. The World Economic Forum are trundling along with their Great Reset plan. The Fourth Industrial Revolution is on it's way.
News breaks this morning that Justin Trudeau has brought in a new law which freezes the bank accounts of anyone involved in the Freedom Convoy in Ottawa. He dare not face the truckers, he hasn't the balls to do that. He was elected to serve his people, and now he is serving his Communist pals.
Take a look at this clip from a speech he gave to a group of ladies in 2013. Asked which country he would like to go and live in, he said, China. Don't be taken in by his charming sweet talking good looks. He is being groomed. He is on a mission to elevate his own personal standing within the Globalist movement.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has invoked rare emergency powers in a bid to end the trucker protests. Under the Emergencies Act, banks will be able freeze personal accounts of anyone linked with the protests.

There is hope. People will eventually wake up. Archbishop Vigano's personal message to Canadian Truckers.
I never thought I would be spending the last few years of my life fighting for my freedom. A freedom that is being eroded day by day. A freedom that is mine and no one else's.

A last look at the Wildlife Park

Bored today. Wet and dull outside. Might as well stay in the warm and churn out some extra blog posts. Here are the last few photo's of the Wildlife Park visit on Thursday. The car park is massive, as is the park itself, so be prepared to walk a long way if you are planning a visit. Wear sturdy shoes or boots. You can easily spend a day there.
This is the entrance to the shopping area, you walk through this first. Posh gift shops, coffee shops, wild animal photography, plants and flowers, boutique, confectionary, beer shop, wool, and arts and crafts.
Benches to sit on, nicely laid out gardens.

An open air theatre, probably kids shows in the summer.

There is a lot of building work going on. They are planning on a new hotel complex. It's going to be amazing.
Eventually you come to the pay desks at the entrance to the park. It cost me £23 pensioners rate. I was given a map. If you want to see it all you will need a day here.
There are lakes to walk around, woods to walk through, and lots of small animals to see. There is a big choice of food eating places, sit down inside or outside. Picnic areas if you take your own food.
Phew, I think I've covered everything there. I think it would be nice to go back in late summer when everything is more green.
Thanks for popping in. Toodle pip.   ilona

Can you hear me

They've got their batons, and their pepper sprays. They have water cannons, horses and dogs. They have their rubber bullets. And now they have another weapon. LRAD's and if you are not sure what that is - Long Range Acoustic Device. They can lead to permanent hearing damage.

In Australia they are using these against the freedom marchers. A doctor advises what they can do to you.

The Australian Federal Police have used a LRADS DEVICE against Men Women & Children at the Freedom Rally in Canberra Australia.

Here is a video explaining how they work. You learn something new every day.

Green for go

Although we might think that we are escaping the worst of the restrictions here, as regarding our freedom to conduct our lives however we think fit, it's a good idea to look at how things are changing in other countries. Ok so mandates for health workers have been put on the back boiler for now, but that doesn't meant that we can move forward to a normal life.

Don't forget that all Governments are following the same plan, and if you listen to them you can detect similarities in how they conduct their interviews. They are reading from the same script. They are watching each other closely to make sure they are keeping up with the plan set by the WEF.

A few details about what is happening in Italy. Full article here.

ITALY - Tomorrow all workers over 50 must have a “super” green pass, to attend work. Millions will be suspended without pay for “unjustified absence” The fundamental right to work stripped from them, without a whimper from Amnesty, Labour or any governments.

From 15 February all public and private workers over 50 will only be able to access their workplace with the Super Green Pass, which is obtained by those who have been vaccinated or recovered from covid-19. The measures will remain in force until 15 June. Employees who fail to present a Super Green Pass will have their salary frozen. After five days off work due to not having the Green Pass, employees' absence is regarded as "unjustified" and their employment is suspended and pay frozen, however nobody can be fired. Compulsory vaccination already applies to Italy's health workers, police, teachers and the military.

Cowards

Join the Police Force. Not to uphold the law, but to learn how to beat people up. Bash their heads in with a baton. Pepper spray chemicals into their faces. Smash car windows and drag people out. Kick them when they are on the ground. Force their hands behind their backs and cuff them. They carry cable ties for that, did you know. Push and shove elderly people to the ground.

Big men, and women, protected by their full body armour. Hiding behind their full face helmets and masks. Dressed in black from head to foot to give the illusion of authority. Working in gangs.  Cowards the lot of them. This has nothing to do with health.

Oh, they were only following orders. I now have no confidence in the police, in any country. They would be the last people I go to for help.

Relentless

On and on it goes. Can anything be more sick that this. Setting up a petting pen full of sheep at an NHS jabbing centre to help children to stay calm. How low will they go? Talk about bullying, coercion, intimidation, and bribery. Twitter thread here. Metro article here.

They will be coming back, again and again and again.

Photo's and words from The Metro.
‘We want them to be vaccinated so they are protected and safe while they are with members of their own family, some of whom may not yet have been vaccinated.’
‘It is very important that this age group is vaccinated because they are on their half-term holiday at the moment. They are going to be going back into school and will be mingling.

The line-up of attractions are being laid on during half-term. Balloons, face painting and other activities will be on offer for children.

Time for breakfast.   ilona

Meet the camels

There are all kinds of animal at Yorkshire Wildlife Park. Here we have one camel
Another one appeared, now there are two.

And another one appeared to make three.

Three seals were having fun and games frolicking in their pond.
They came out of the water for a few minutes and one of them went back into the compound.
The other two couldn't work out where it had gone and went swimming off to look for it. Eventually they realised and went after it.
The baboons have a big area to play in.

Three giraffes were inside their shed. Someone was offering them bunches of leaves and they were reaching over to get them. Pity they weren't outside, would have been able to get better pictures.
Not sure what these are, they were busy digging holes in the ground.
It's a shame I couldn't get a better picture of these deer, and two zebras. They were inside a shelter.
The sea lions have a massive new lake to swim about in.
I was heading back towards the exit when four people came out carrying buckets of fish. Must be time for dinner. I wasn't in the right place to get the best photo's but I managed to get a couple with the zoom.

There are a few pics left for tomorrow. Thanks for popping in.

Unlucky in love

Will I get a Valentines card tomorrow, I don't think so. I have not been very lucky in love. Made some wrong choices, things haven't worked out very well. Not through lack of possible suiters, just the wrong type.

I remember going out with a chap called Mike, at least I think that was his name, from what I can remember. It was a long time ago. I was in my teens, 17 ish. He was slightly older than me. I was impressed by his general knowledge on just about everything, him being a University graduate type. He was very clever.

He was also quite nice looking, having long fair hair and a fit body. I was chuffed that he showed an interest in me, a skinny beanpole shop worker. He lived in a rented house and kept goats in the back garden, and he had a dog. An animal lover is high up on my list of reasons for dating someone.

A few months into the relationship, things were going really well. He was interesting, confident, and funny. One night I decided to surprise him. I really fancied a night in cosying up on the sofa and watching tele. I had a bottle of wine to share.

I decided to walk to his house which was about four miles away, because I wasn't sure if I had to drive home, or if I would be welcome to stay the night. I was excited about the prospect of seeing him again, and lots of snogging. I was very much into snogging at that time.

It was dark, about 7.30pm, when I knocked on the front door. The light went on in the hallway and the door opened. I was ready to greet him with a big smile and say surprise surprise.

But it wasn't him. A woman stood in the doorway, it looked as if she lived there. She had slippers on her feet and was wearing the type of clothes that you might wear to slop around the house. I was shocked.

Mike appeared behind her. I could only get two words out, you swine. Then they had the gall to invite me in. There was only one thing I wanted to do and that was go home. I burst into tears and stormed off. Mike started to come after me. I ignored him and walked faster.

I walked the four miles back home. A police car stopped and the driver asked me if I was alright. I said no, but I will survive.

That was the end of that. I saw Mike a few years later. He contacted me to say he was moving into a big house in the countryside, and would I like to go for dinner. Cheeky bugger.

Funny how things stick in your mind, isn't it.

Enjoy your Sunday. Catch ya later.   ilona

The bear necessities.

A polar bear is playing with his bucket, he is tossing it around like it is a ball. He is kicking it like a football.
He goes over to the fence, he wants his mates to join in. They can't because they are in another enclosure.

He thinks, oh well I will play on my own then, and tosses the bucket into the pond.

Then he jumps into the pond to retrieve his toy.
He gets out and shakes. He does this over and over again.

Here we go again. Where is my bucket.

It went on for about 20 minutes. He had a lot of fun.

I'll be back tomorrow with some more pictures. Toodle pip.   ilona

Lunchtime chat video

Here's a little video I made a few days ago. It's on yoootooob and has garnered quite a lot of comments. It's the usual kind of money saving chat which people are increasingly becoming interested in, given the fact that massive price rises are imminent.
I have sent my electric and gas meter readings in and the quarterly bill will be a few £'s under 200. That's more or less what I expected. I have been using the heating a lot more often in the cold weather. I received the Government winter payment of £200 so that cancels this bill out.
Bill has just arrived. I will pay it by cheque sent in the post. My present tariff ends on the 31st of March, then I will decide what to do next. Martin Lewis says don't do anything at the moment. I believe the price rises are going to be very substantial.

Big cats at Yorkshire Wildlife Park

Let's start with the big cats. Here they are, what a handsome bunch.
It's a lovely afternoon for a snooze in the sunshine.
The enclosures are really big. Shelters for them to chill out in.

These two are having a rough and tumble session.

I watched their games for a while.

What a handsome chap. Dozing in the sunshine.

Eyes open watching visitors walking past.

I saw two tigers strolling around their enclosure.
They have a big area. There is an elevated walkway that goes over the top. You can look down at them walking below.

I'll post some more pics tomorrow. Thanks for popping in. Have a nice weekend.

Best photo of the day

I've been to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park today. It's not far from Doncaster. I have taken a lot of photo's, here is one of them. The big cats are my favourite.
I really enjoyed it. It was sunny but cold, with some wind. Will put some more photo's up tomorrow when I have sorted them out.

Wot do i eat

I don't have any recipes to follow when I make my meals. I eat whatever I fancy when my stomach tells me to eat. I open the fridge, check dates to see what needs eating first, and then cobble something together.

Here we have mushrooms, courgette, spinach, and Ready to Wok noodles, on a slice of toasted seeded bread. I always buy seeded, don't like the white fluffy cotton wool type bread. The noodles are from Aldi, cheap and filling, and I like to have a bag of spinach in the fridge because it can be added to anything. I don't have a wok, I use a small pan.
I've been eating a lot of stews. It's easy to chop a load of vegetables, throw them in a pan, and add half a packet of sauce mix and some spices. Sometimes I add rice or pasta. Here I put in a handful or frozen peas and sweetcorn. There are three portions in the pan, I warm the 2nd and 3rd in the microwave straight from the fridge. I used to freeze portions, I don't do that any more.

Another on toast meal. Mushrooms, chopped leeks and courgettes, add an egg. Deeelishus. These can all be eaten for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Sometimes I like a cooked breakfast, and I have been known to have the last portion of stew for brekky.

I'm going to have a cooked breakfast today because I want something filling. It looks sunny outside so I need to go out. Catch ya later. Have a nice day.  ilona
