Spot the cat

A new hiding place. Can you see a cat.
Heidi has found a small basket of fleece scraps. It makes a very nice bed.

This was my lunch today, omelette, chips, and beans. It came out of Joyce's freezer. She had some of her food delivered by Wiltshire Farm Foods, This was £3.19, it tasted ok. Out of curiosity I looked at the web site. There is a good selection of food, main meals between £3 and £4, with a good variety of vegetarian.

I picked this pile up on Thursday, and unloaded it out of the car today. I took three bags to the Age UK charity shop this afternoon. Joyce's family will be back one more time to finish emptying the house.

  1. Lol,Heidi looks very comfy there. Its amazing how our cats can find a place to sleep,no matter how small it is!My Lily,at the moment is loving my late mother in laws cushion from her old wheel chair. Its on an old camping chair that Im going to recover..but Lily rushes out to it in the morning like holiday makers rushing to reserve the best sunbeds around the pool,lol...About the meal..yes it does look nice and is very handy for people are who unable to get out and shop.A very good service in fact, for those who are housebound. So good value for money. We did try this for a relative, but all she was eating was the peas on it and nothing else,so I had her to my house every day..and cooked mashed potatoes..with carrots n parsnips n turnips, disguised in with it,tuna and garden peas and she used to eat every bit!So we knew that she was getting some goodness from the veg!..Joyces stuff looks like my Mams stuff..those cork top containers should sell well, because alot of people love vintage stuff now!.So I hope they make money for the charities instead of going to landfill.xx

  2. Heidi looks comfortable Ilona! Not a bad price for a meal delivered, less than a cafe I think.

    1. You are right about the meal cost versus a cafe meal. How amazing!

  4. I've been wondering about having meals delivered for a relative - how would you cook that one?
I'm assuming you put it in the oven otherwise if it was microwave the chips would be soggy. She wouldn't be able to use the main oven. Not sure I'd want to order things in that nasty black plastic though, our local recycling plant won't accept the black stuff.

    1. They can be cooked in an oven or a microwave. The chips weren't particularly soggy, and not crispy, just how I like them actually. I never use my oven.

I washed the tray and put it in the recycling. They can decide what they want to do with it when it arrives at the depot.

  5. it always amuses me the way cats like to find new sleeping spots, in tiny spaces. my cat hector loves boxes and will always try to climb into them even if they are patently smaller than he is. mad cats!!
(ps Have now got some of my walking-mojo back and have been out each day in May so far.. thanks to the walking group for keeping the inspiration going!!)
