Wildlife in the park

After a massive shower this morning when the road outside turned into a river, thankfully we had a lovely afternoon. Time to get the new boots out for their first walk. I bought these ages ago, they are exactly the same as the two previous pairs. They are a wide fitting so suit my bunions perfectly. The older boots will be used when the weather is guaranteed to be dry. 

A walk to the park. There were two separate herds of deer, brown ones, and white ones. 

Snoozing ducks under the shade of a tree. 

Pheasants are such pretty birds. I've seen quite a few odd ones in different places. Maybe they managed to avoid getting blasted out of the sky during the shoot a few weeks ago. 

Try asking a squirrel to pose for the camera. They dart all over the place. 

Reflections on the pond. 

My evening meal, steamed vegetables, broccoli, cauliflower, and potatoes, with a slice of  cheese and onion quiche. A glass of beer to wash it down.
