Twiddling again.

This blog is doing my head in, joke joke joke, don't misinterpret that, I am perfectly sane, I have just found out that all the comments have been lost. When I turned them off I thought all previous comments would stay where they were, and activation would only happen for future comments, not so. Luckily with a bit of tinkering in the works I have got them back again.

I'm going to have to think of plan B, but for now I have to go out. Catch ya later. ilona

  1. It will be lovely to see your comments again. I can only get to see posts and comments on my computer for I have recently lost a lot of information. I deleted a couple of things I should not have done,

  4. I'm really missing reading all the comments from like minded people. Its a sort of community. It isn't the same without them!

  6. I asked at my Poundworld today - got some toiletries, veg seeds and cat milk 50% off. There's been no notice to staff yet of closure date - and they are putting out stock as and when they get it - so not closing for a bit yet. I assume they are waiting till stock levels get too low to cover cost of keeping the shops open. I assume staff will get a month's notice.

  7. I'm so glad to be able to”speak” to you again.
As I remarked on someone else's blog reading your blog but not being able to comment was rather like looking forward to visiting someone and finding that they were out.
Having said that I understand your reasoning and can only hope that you have lost the leeches who were bothering you.

  8. Yes...it's a shame if one or two people spoil it for so many lovely people, many of whom have been enjoying Ilonas blog for quite some time

  9. Hi Ilona, I have just finished reading the whole of your blog from start to finish. It has taken me a few months and I have loved every single post. To me this was like having a like minded friend, who I could call in on to see what they are up to. I thought it ironic that as I read the final few posts yesterday you had decided after nearly ten years to close up shop, so to speak. On one hand I thought how lucky for me that I had been able to read through to the end but also I was saddened. Your beautiful blog has given this to me and I want to say a BIG HEARTFELT THANK YOU!!! I have been inspired to, walk my dogs more, eat everything in the fridge, recycle, be at peace, enjoy being alone, walk more, be grateful for every little thing, wake up with a smile, know I have enough, look at advertising as a scam, look at hostels to stay, want to do my garden, sew more, craft more, layer up, turn the lights off, look for better deals on my phone, elec, gas. You are one inspiring woman, your life has touched so many and for that I thank you.

  11. I'm wondering why you still need the previous comments if you've decided to finish having them?

To those who are saying they feel the need to comment or read comments, Ilona decided to whittle down to give herself more time and space, to get more simplicity and to be freer with more time away from the keyboard.

I respect that decision, I can understand how time gets eaten up with a blog and her wanting more headspace.

Ilona, The diary idea is great, you must do what suits you best, something that has become a burden can no longer be a pleasure.

  14. So glad you've decided to switch the comments back, I do wish that people would live and let live. It's sad that some people take pleasure in writing nasty words about others, I bet they've not got the guts in real life. I only comment when I've got a passion for something that's been said. The old saying if you can't think of anything nice to say then be quiet comes to mind, the keyboard warrior should think of this!!! Where's your manner's xx
