Good morning.
I've got a stat counter on my blog. It used to give me lots of extra information when it was free. Then they put a charge on it and that free information became an upgrade which incurs a payment. I decided not to go down that route, so now I still have the basic weekly update.
Not that I am interested in numbers. A quick glance and delete the email. It doesn't matter to me how many people visit, or whether they come back again, or disappear forever. It's just numbers.
I am not about being popular, not looking for praise, and I am not in competition with other bloggers. People will naturally find their niche, their tribe, online and in real life. Whatever makes them happy. Some people crave to fit in somewhere, I crave for my freedom to do whatever I like. That might seen arrogant to some, but it is how I have lived for most of my life. The feeling of being answerable to no one makes me happy.

I hope you have a good day, and a good week. Thanks for popping in. Toodle pip. ilona |
You being you and doing your thing has brought the numbers in. I think people respect and like that. I know with YouTube I follow a couple other channels and they are constantly pestering “ like, subscribe, comment and share”. It makes them sound so desperate in my opinion. And looking a numbers you far exceed them in subscribers. You keep being you!! That’s what people are wanting to hear and read!! Take care!
ReplyDeleteYoootooob is a source of income for many. It gives the opportunity for someone to become self employed and run their own business. As annoying as it is to skip through adverts, and ignore their promotions, if their content is entertaining and interesting I will stick with it.
DeleteAt least you don't beg for subscribers on YTube like some frugal bloggers.
ReplyDeleteI will give you this, you haven't rewritten you history, you keep being you. No explanations given just "this is how I live my life and have been lving it like this for years"
My pact with myself still stands. At 60 when I moved onto a state pension I said, that is the end of work. Life is good.
DeleteYou just keep being you thank you (Sandy mid wales)
