Free chairs

Look at that, I can see new grass. How exciting. I'm not sure how thick it will be, I might have to buy some more seed.
I came across these chairs yesterday that someone left on their front for anyone to take. I went home to get my car, and nabbed them pretty quick. They are plastic and will be left outside. I don't have anywhere to store them. I still don't know what I am going to fill the space with.

My dinner tonight, steamed veg with a spicy bean burger. I fancied a beer, luckily I have some in my cupboard.

I've walked two miles today with Billy dog so I don't need to go out tonight. I say walked, it was more like a march as he dragged me along.

We'll catch up tomorrow. Toodle pip.   ilona

  2. Did you need to cover the grass seeds. To stop birds getting it Ilona? & did you have to water it lots please?

    1. I thought about covering the grass seed, in case the cats thought it was a good place to pee and poo. They haven't set foot on it, and the birds seem to have all disappeared. I water it two or three times a day if it hasn't rained.

  3. Do the chairs stack? That could make them easier to store. Great find.

    1. Yes they do stack, but if I find somewhere to store them they will hardly ever be used. Maybe make a feature of them where they are.

  5. The chairs are a good find, my first thought was they would be lovely with a plant on them especially in the winter and you have the plastic flowers on term. It really is surprising what people give away.

    1. Now you've got me thinking. I could make some scarecrows to sit in them.

  6. It is great when you find something useful for free!.I love it.Yesterday I had a new to me plant!Dumped in a bin at the cemetery looking very sad but certainly not beyond saving.Your grass has appeared!I bet you are well chuffed.Your meal looks nice as well.We are having a dinner later on because I have got lots of veg from the food pantry that they gave me for free when I picked my £6 box up.I have been buying my shopping for the last 4/5 weeks from there and it feeds 3 of us for £6 at week...£2 per person for a weeks food cant be bad!Plus saves the food going to landfill.Ive got a walk planned out for lunch time. Not too long, only about 3 miles, but as you say, every bit helps.Hope you have a lovely Bank Holiday Monday!xx

  7. I love the word free too. Came home yesterday with a carrier bag full of free clothes which will be cut up and made into another Morris kit. I volunteer for the charity sorting the clothes for them occasionally and they said help yourself [they were going off to be shredded for recycling] even though I did offer to pay. Arilx

    1. My friend acquires all her clothes that way. Some of them were too good for shredding, she alters them to fit herself.
