irresponsible advice - it is very responsible advice. Irresponsible advice is making up all sorts of nonsense about vaccinations and telling people not to get a jabby jabby - that is irresponsible.
A new recruit to the Litter Picking Gang. Let me introduce Ginger. We need someone to work closer to ground level, to save all the knee bending and back breaking work. Kitty fits the bill perfectly. Made me smile this morning while eating my left over breakfast. Just add an egg to the stir fry I made yesterday.
Now I'm getting ready to go to the Coffee Morning, which starts at 11am instead of the usual 10 till 12 time slot. We have a Summer Buffet, Bingo, and Raffle to take part in. I must make an effort to get dressed up.
There has been another breach on the Llangollen Canal. Yoootoobers, Taylors Aboard, posted a report with some drone pics. At the top of this picture you can see that the curious cows came to have a look.
This pic made me smile. Cows doing what cows do, forming a herd. Oooooh look, let's go for a paddle. ha ha.
Hedge cutting today, but it was just too darn hot. One hour was enough.
I'm just back from a Billy walk. Now I've got to water the pots and the raised beds. Please can we have some rain.
I won't be adding my two pennuth to this shambles. Andrew says it all.

EDIT.
Andy Burnham will be PM next week, another darling of the WEF.
His mayoral ‘training’ took place at Harvard funded by the Bloomberg foundation.
Another globalist puppet bought and paid for.
Of course they face council objections!
You can’t have gullies with cabling all over the pavements it a massive hazard!
Daft Ed didn’t think this through! A bit like he hasn’t thought through lots of stupid Net Zero policies
Common sense.
Installing humps into pavements where blind and visually impaired people might trip over them. People with their faces glued to their screen, falling over the Trip Hazard warning sign. Women with buggies might shake the baby awake when she is trying to get it off to sleep. Delivery men with a barrow would lose half of his load as the wheels bumped over it. Getting the cable out each evening to charge the car overnight, and putting it away in the morning before going to work. Imagine if every car in the street needed to be hooked up to the grid. Multiple humps for intoxicated people to fall over, on their way home from a night out. Broken limbs clogging up the emergency department at the hospital.
Now what are you going to do Mr Milibrain, when half the posh houses in central London will have to stick with their gas guzzling diesel and petrol cars. What a daft idea.
It's been a lovely hot day today. I really must cast off some of my layers. I always have this problem every spring. What to wear, will the sun be shining all day. Will it be windy. Should I be cautious, maybe carry on wearing a vest until it gets really hot.
I did a local litter pick this morning and I wished I hadn't put so many clothes on. I was so darned hot.
This afternoon I visited a friend. She wasn't in, but all was not lost. I had a smashing chat with her grandson who lives nearby. He is fitting out a van and turning it into a campervan. When it's finished he is going to have some adventures in it. Looking good so far, but still a lot more work to do on it.
I knocked up this video. You might chuckle if you watch it.
Now I'n going to put the hedgehog food out. There were three last night. Sad to say that the ducks didn't come back today. I hope they have found a good place to eat and sleep.
Enjoy your Sunday. Thanks for popping in. Toodle pip. ilona
It’s no wonder we have rising crime when the police roll out on patrol in something that looks like Postman Pat’s van! Also proving that even electric Tuk-Tuks lose 82% of their resale value in 2 years.
The force said: 'Four tuk-tuk vehicles, rolled out in Newport and Abergavenny as "safe spaces" for those residing or visiting Gwent are now available to provide crime prevention advice, report incidents to and seek help from if you are feeling unsafe.
'Our tuk-tuks will be used both during the day and night, driven by our officers and "ambassadors" such as those employed by Newport NOW as part of a Newport City Council initiative.
'The tuk-tuks will be used to patrol parks, walkways and other public spaces across Newport and Abergavenny.'

A longish litter picking walk today. I did this area a couple of weeks ago. Fresh litter found. Drinks cans and takeaway wrappers, thrown out of passing cars. Some old bottles buried in hedge bottoms. I will sleep well tonight.
This is the most STUPID ‘deal’ I’ve ever read.
Wtf does Starmer think he’s talking about? The dinghies aren’t imported into the UK!
They enter the EU!
Inflatable dinghies: 0% duty into the EU
Outboard engines: about 1.5–2% duty.
There aren’t any other parts!
How would the Chinese government know which ones are being purchased to transport illegal migrants? Ask politely?
Another ridiculous government announcement that will make absolutely no difference whatsoever. Seriously this is complete bollocks.
Make of it what you will. Catch ya later. Toodle pip. ilona
This made me titter. I drove skip wagons around Derby. Filthy stinking job but it all added to my experience portfolio. There are not many jobs that I haven't done. I can only think of two. Car transporters, and livestock.
Hire a skip, get it dropped at your house so you can load it up with anything you want to get rid of. Don't bother to pay for it, see what happens next.
Wet and windy today. I dropped my friends off at the Railway Station, they are on their way to York for a weekend break.
A builder man is due to come and look at a job I have for him, which needs doing. It involves climbing a ladder. He lives in my street. He said he will come this morning. I don't expect him to appear until it stops raining.
In the meantime I will carry on with my art project. The heat is on and we are warm. Later I will go and check on my friends cats.
Have a good weekend. Thanks for popping in. Toodle pip. ilona
Taking a pocket full of poop bags with you is a must when walking a dog. So also, at this time of the year, is having a torch with you. Never take your eyes off the dog, or you will never find the poop.
Here's how to make a wonderful omelette. Ingredients in the pan with a splash of olive oil. A generous handful of chopped onions. I buy them ready chopped now. Not faffing around with stinging eyes peeling them and chopping them with a sharp knife. Chopped beetroot from a vacuum pack, not pickled from a jar. Broccoli and mangetout peas, pre steamed. Two teaspoons of ready made sweet and sour sauce from a sachet. Add other herbs and spices if preferred. Cook on the hob for a few minutes.
Beat an egg in a bowl and add a splash of milk. Pour over the top and leave it on the hob for a few minutes to cook the bottom. Transfer the pan under a pre heated grill to finish it off. Very filling and blooming lovely.
A visit to Aldi this afternoon for a big shop. Spent £70. That seems the norm now every two weeks.
Now I'm addicted to watching old comedies. Hapless Frank Spencer has to be the master of slapstick. I do believe that he did all his own stunts. What a star. Now it's all sodding AI.
Apart from going outside in the sunshine and topping up the old vitamin D levels, the next best thing is a few minutes of belly laughs.
Good evening. A quick post tonight. Nothing exciting happened today. Crafty Club was a hoot. I managed to lower the tone of the conversations as usual. Plenty of innuendos and double meanings. Not my fault, honest. I should be on the stage. . . . . .sweeping it. 😛😈😵 I thought Cathy was going to pee herself laughing. I don't know what is going to come out of my mouth until I open it. A good way to start a Monday morning.
A natter with Angela afterwards, sitting in her garden. Then home for lunch. Avocado on toast with an egg on top. Then boots on rucksack packed, and off out for a walk. Same walk so nothing new to take photo's of. I've been playing with these. Filters, saturation, and contrast, to alter the colours.
Mayze is still outside so I must go and get her in. Thanks for popping in. Toodle pip. ilona
Good morning. Apparently Benidorm is a place that some people absolutely love, and others have no wish to go there. I did go to the real Benidorm once, many years ago, but it's not my thing now, and I do not intend to go back.
On this dull and mizzly Friday morning this video has given me a chuckle. The humour is politically un-correct, or is that incorrect? Anyhow, it is funny.
I see that my page views on this blog have gone back down to where they were, after the recent upward spike. Almost 4,000 for a post about an art exhibition in a church tells me that there has been something dodgy going on behind the scenes. Maybe the spy botts have moved on.
My recent posts on the current situation have stirred the emotions of those who wished I would go away. The delete button is my friend. Sorry to disappoint you but I am still here. I don't give in to bullying.
I'll be back later after this last video is uploaded. Thanks for popping in. Toodle pip. ilona
Good morning. I dropped on this video last night as I was looking for something to wind down with. A bit of comedy wouldn't go amiss. Who remembers Auf Wiedersehen Pet from the 1980's.
You might need to activate the subtitles if you are not familiar with the Geordie accent. I use the subtitles all the time on most of the videos if the sound is a tad quiet.
Classic comedy-drama series about a group of British builders who head to Germany for employment. The lads arrive with hopes of high wages and frauleins. Guidance: programme contains sexual themes, nude images and moderate language throughout.
Had to laugh at the Guidance warning. There was nothing like that in the 80's, you can always use the 'off' button if you don't like it. My version of guidance is - The lads have a night out in a red light district somewhere in Germany. They discuss the goods on offer, eye up the girls plying their trade, and pull a few birds. Their language is laddish which which is normal for a gang of blokes out on the pull.
While you're at it, don't forget The Boys from the Blackstuff, and Bridging the Gap, when they moved the Tyne bridge to the US. Old fashioned comedy. I love it.
Time for breakfast. I've opened a tin of pineapple chunks which is three years out of date. Perfectly fine in my porridge, with a banana.
Come in to my Echo Chamber. I sometimes copy and paste good news and bad news. You may respond with a comment. I may or may not publish it.
