I love seagulls, when I was a kid we lived next to a ship repair yard, we were literally a few feet away from the sea, and every morning the gulls would form a long line on the roof of the repair shed and they would call their hearts out. It was the sound I grew up with, they were my alarm clock. I know they can be aggressive, and frightening to some people, but they take me back to my childhood, growing up in my grandmother's house, safe and secure. They are beautiful and I could listen to them all day. Liz from Wales.

Hello, I am a 73 year old retired lorry driver. After trucking for 32 years I'd had enough, went part time when I was in my mid 50's and stopped altogether when I reached 60. Yippeeee, now I am free to do as I like. I live with three cats, I am very careful with my spending, only buying what I need. I have no qualms about buying second hand from car boot sales and charity shops, and getting free stuff from skip diving. Money saved is put towards holidays, a decent car, and days out. I love life, and it needn't cost a fortune to enjoy it.
Cant say I share his love of seagulls but I hate cruelty to animals of any sort.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful human being.
ReplyDeleteWonderful story, we need more kindness in this world! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice man to give so much of himself for those injured animals. Wow! We all need to do more of that.
ReplyDeleteHe's a great man. Personally, I like seagulls, and can see what's motivating him.
