Something for the weekend.

This makes me feel very emotional, and goosebumpy. Let's keep it going, let's play it over and over again. Pump up the volume, open your windows and sing along. Let's celebrate what a great country we live in. Let's all be nice to someone today, and every day.
"Land of Hope and Glory" is a British patriotic song, with music by Edward Elgar written in 1901 and lyrics by A. C. Benson later added in 1902.
Have a great weekend. Lots of love,   ilona

  1. This song was one of my late Dads favourites.Nearly 6 years ago, when he died,we had him in his casket at home and me and my sister stayed there with my Mam.Every day I played this to him and on the day of his funeral,as the funeral directors carried him out of the house, this was playing loud and proud. We all love this as a family.Wouldnt it be great if at 8pm,as we did clapping for the NHS,every body in the country came out and sang it!,xx

  2. Very uplifting Ilona. I've been watching the news reports about the protest in London today against the removal of so many of our freedoms. Sadly but as expected, we have been labelled as conspirators theorists. The government are afraid of free thinking people who might upset the brainwashed sheep. But we will fight on. One day we hope that life will return to normal, but until then, we have to stay strong and stand firm for what we believe in. Have a good weekend Ilona x

    1. Yes, I saw that Linda. It looked like a good atmosphere. Anna Brees did some interviews. I am not sure where she is going with this, I wonder if she will fizzle out. It will be hard for her to keep it going as a single mum with two kids. She has said she prefers teaching people how to make their own news videos, rather than being in front of the camera herself.

  3. Hearing this always makes me feel good Ilona. We sang it at school and it makes me proud to be British. Why on earth do we have to give it up? Its our heritage after all.
