Central Park

Central Park is very big, I don't normally go there, I have no reason to. I did attend the Park Run a few times, but got a bit bored with that. I had a look round and took a few snaps. Lovely flower beds.
The children's playground was very busy. The kiosk was open for snacks and drinks. There was an ice cream van in the car park. Families were having a good time. I saw one family set out a table on one of the picnic benches. They had a table cloth and they had lots of food laid out, there was a party atmosphere. It was lovely to see them enjoying themselves.

I stopped to chat with the roller skaters, they were having lots of fun. I asked if I could photograph them from the back. I like how these photo's have turned out.

There is a leisure centre, swimming pools, and a gymnasium at the park, it's called The Pods. Not my thing I have never been inside. Outside there is a pond with hundreds of goldfish in it. The water lilies look lovely.
I was back home for a late lunch. The weather was warm and dry so I did a six mile walk. The fields are turning golden. It won't be long before the crops will be harvested.

It was an enjoyable Sunday. Thanks for popping in, we'll catch up soon.

  1. Glad you had a good day, I love the pic of the lily pond, we have beautiful lily ponds here in Pembrokeshire at a place called Bosherston and the wildlife in and around them is amazing. I didn't know about the stand in the park thing, I'll have to check it out and see if anyone's doing it around here. Xxx

  2. The park you show is fabulous, green space, flowers, fountain and best of all the fish and lilies in the pond.

  4. Love your photos, I noticed that you have a page of your favourite ones, they are very good. Do you use filters on your lenses?
When I did a short photography course many years ago, when the cameras were 35mm SLRs, we used to put stretched tights over the lens to create "mood"
