Another visit to Lotherton Hall

Hello everyone. I'm back. It has been a smashing weekend away, with the first car camping of the year. I wanted to go to an Art Festival at Harrogate. It was a three day event so I chose Sunday for the visit, which meant I had to find something to do on the Saturday. I saw an advert for Lotherton Hall and Gardens. It's not far from the A1 motorway, so I thought that will fit in fine with my plans.
So Saturday I set off just before midday. When I got there, big disappointment. Oh no, I have been here before. I really should have checked the blog before I made the decision. I was here two years ago. I am having difficulty finding new places to visit within a reasonable travelling distance. I am reminded of the song, 'I've been everywhere man'.
Never mind, I am here now. I took some photo's and had a lovely walk around the gardens and the Wildlife World. It was a gloriously sunny day. Nice to see families with children running around. The kids playground was busy. I went in the house. Not all the rooms were open because they are in the middle of getting it ready for the summer season.

The deer were quite close, so there was a good view to take photographs.

Gorgeous floral display in the reception hall as you go in.

There were two cats. A nice touch I thought.

Upstairs the bedrooms were open.

If you want to see more pictures you could look at the two previous posts I did from two years ago. They include the ground floor rooms which I wasn't able to see today.
17th February 2023. Including some wildlife pics.
This was a one day visit though I spread the photo's over two posts.
Then I went on to my overnight park up. Sunday turned out to be an exciting day. I arrived at the Showground for the Art Festival and another event was taking place at the same venue. What a bonus. I'll get the photo's sorted for tomorrow.
Thanks for popping in. Toodle pip.   ilona

  2. I’ve never been to Lotherton Hall and probably should as it’s fairly local for me. Maybe I’ll plan a day out once I’m back at home again. Sadly my Dad died a week ago so I’m at his house sorting everything out.
