A look at Waddingham

Waddingham is a lovely village. It's just off the A15 not far from Kirton in Lindsey, north of Caenby Corner. It was very hot yesterday. I was going to do some walking between the villages, but it was more sensible to drive from one to the other, stop, and have a look around.
There is a huge Village Green. The Village Hall is situated over there, with a big car park.

The village shop closed a while ago.
Opposite the shop is this lovely cottage with a quirky garden full of flowers. The lady of the house appeared as I was taking the photo. We had a lovely chat. She said the garden at the back is massive. Her dog came out to say hello. He was ever so affectionate, he loves greeting people at the gate as they pass by. She told me about his background. He came in a van which took about a week to get here. Doggy was two years old when he was found wandering. An International Rescue picked him up and brought him to the UK. They have had him for two years, and love him to bits.
Someone pointed me in the direction of this windmill. It looks in pretty good order, not falling down or neglected. Apparently it is for sale, and comes with planning permission to turn it into a private residence. It is in the garden of a house which is for sale.

I looked it up. Four bed house with windmill. £395,000. Fancy it? Check here.
The Church. Check the video out below for a walk around it.

This is a rather unusual building. It is close to the school. Looks like a private house.

A walk to the church.
That's all for now. Come back tomorrow and we will take a look at Bishop Norton.
Have a good Sunday. Toodle pip.   ilona

  1. Really loved looking around this village with you. The pictures were so lovely as was the chat with the lady about her dog etc. Looking forward to seeing more villages.
