Nothing to see here.

Keir Starmer
We were elected with a mandate of change. The next phase of mission-led government continues our relentless focus on delivering for working people. Our Plan for Change sets out ambitious, yet achievable milestones that will improve people’s lives across the country.

We will fix the foundations, repair the damage, reform government and rebuild Britain. We will deliver change.

Our Plan for Change will deliver for working people across the country.

When I say this is a government in the service of working people, I mean it. Our Plan for Change will deliver for you.

Watch. My plan for change. One hour video.

Clean energy is creating the jobs of the future and putting money back in the pockets of working people. This investment from Qatar will help to make every part of the country better off. We are delivering on our promise to make growth a number one mission.

We’re delivering on our promise to fix our broken railways. South Western Railway is now back in public control. Better services for passengers. Better value for taxpayers. My government is rebuilding Britain.

I promised that we would speed up the process to fix unsafe cladding, and I meant it. Today we set out new targets for those responsible to make sure their properties are safe. This government is delivering change.

Yeah yeah yeah. Heard it all before. Promises then nothing happens.

  1. I have never felt so uneasy of a government as I do now x

    1. We never know what they are going to throw at us next. Except that some of us do. All we can do is take it in our stride and get on with our own lives.

  2. You and me both flis. Man's a total blardy waste of rations - and that's an understatement. If you live in the countryside (as I do) it will be a no holds barred free for all - windfarms and new houses everywhere, rewilding etc (and I am a nature lover but don't trust the aims of this lot, selling us downriver) and a land grab on a scale which has never seen before. After all, who needs farmers or food?

    1. Hello BB. Their stupid and ridiculous ideas of running the country are nuts, except that it is done deliberately.

  3. It is eye opening to read this. These are nearly the same types of promises that politicians in the US make. I hate being cynical, but I think those in leadership say whatever keeps the mobs at bay. Then both parties spend years pushing back against the opposition, creating the illusion they are working for the people. So in reality the elected leaders do very little to make a difference. Blame, ridicule, and in some cases outright lying. So discouraging.

    1. Hello Debby. I do hope you have a chance in the US with those who are poised to sort the whole sorry mess out. We shall see. No politicians in the world are working for their own people. They have screwed up big time in the past, and now they are trying to sort it out. The lies will keep on coming. Look after yourself and your own family.

    2. I have no confidence in the upcoming US regime. It would be nice to be wrong, but personal gain is the mantra of these people. Both major parties are self serving I know, but the coming admin is looking to be filled with personal friends and acolytes instead of qualified leaders. I long for common sense and DECENCY. In the past if my candidate didn't win I shrugged and went about my business. Now I'm frightened. I think you gave this advice once: stay away from the news. Thats what I'm doing

  4. He's still wittering on. Recent interview for the BBC. Doesn't he get fed up of repeating his script?

Our mission-driven government will deliver change across the country.

There you go, his mission driven government.
His government should be people driven. He is following his masters directives.

  5. My hackles immediately rise when the government in power (of whatever political persuasion) constantly drones on about 'working people', 'hard-working families' etc. What about the retired? Don't they deserve a good deal too, after all their years of being 'working people' and paying taxes? What about those like me, who care for a disabled family member, saving the state thousands of pounds a month in care fees and yet being paid benefits far less than the much trumpeted minimum wage, with the threat of being penalised if we try to top them up by earning extra? Or people who for various reasons just aren't able to work (I am not talking about the professional work-shy folk here)? The present government doesn't even seem to regard farmers as being 'working people'!

    1. Hello Tracy. It's like politicians are a different breed altogether. Their answer to everything is sticking plaster. They haven't got the balls to dig down deep into the nitty gritty of the problem. I feel like I have been abandoned, like millions of other people. We are no use to them at all.

For too long, Britain has been held to ransom by blockers and bureaucrats who’ve stopped the country building, suffocating working people’s aspirations.
    Those days are over.
We will build 1.5 million new homes and inject ambition back into Britain.

    1. So Mr Starmer. How about you stop inviting people in. Sort out those that are already here, and shut up shop. Then you won't have to build any more houses.

  7. What is happening is just terrible. The floodgates have opened and we have people flooding into the country. People who do not hold English values and don’t agree with our way of life.

Do you know what the most popular boy’s name was last year? Mohammed - does that sound British to you, it certainly doesn’t to me. Not only should we stop the invasion we need to start sending them back!

    1. Yes, it is terrible. I am all for helping less fortunate people, but to give newcomers priority over those born and bred in the country, is just not fair. As with everything, it's all about the money.

  8. I guess we here in the US will just see what all changes Trump will be able to accomplish in 4 years. And see what all cuts Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy decide need to be done. They have been given until July 4, 2026 and then they will be done. Nothing to do but keep living our best life and watch the soap opera oh ummm politics fighting . 🤗🤗

    1. I really hope that it all works out for you. I think with a good team, and the will to turn things around, could pay dividends. I am a bit concerned about the intentions of Musk though. He is on a mission to push forward Artificial Intelligence, to turn everybody into robots so they cannot survive without the digital age. Flooding the skies with satellites and rockets, will see the end of humanity.

    2. Agreed ilona…. Not so sure about his intentions.

    3. We need a Trump here. My hope is that Musk throws his billions behind Farage. I reckon it could happen. Farage is the only Uk politician who has any idea what is going on and what needs to be done. He is a man of the people and really does tell things as they are.

    4. We need someone with vision, Kevin. Not an autonomist puppet, just following orders.

    5. Farage has vision, Ilona. he is definitely NOT an autonomous puppet. he has always struck his own path and made his own way, unlike the career politicians we normally see. He sees the terrible damage that unfettered immigration has caused this country and he is not frightened to call it out. I hardly recognise my country any more. I go to my local town and there are people wearing black sheets, you can’t see their face…it’s just not right. They should all be deported.

    6. Yes, Farage knows what needs to be done, but is treading lightly rather than wading in. I sometimes wish he would get on with the job. He needs to act sooner rather than later, because I can see the recent turmoil happening in the east right now, will surely spill over into the west. He needs to unite our country rather than divide it. Easier said than done.
