Back to healthy living.

Good evening. I went a drive out this afternoon to Barton on Humber. I haven't been to the Ropewalk for a while so wanted to see if there are any new art exhibitions in the two galleries. Yes there were. The pictures were not to my taste so it was a quick in and out. £300 - £400 for a very large canvas splattered  with multicoloured paint which had been thrown at it. I'll never understand abstract art which makes no sense or has any meaning.
From there I walked to the Visitor Centre which is situated on the banks of the Humber. There was a Craft Fair taking place. I bought a small purse with a cat on it, from a young man who was looking after the stall for his mum.
Outside there was a gathering of campervans. People were very friendly and were happy to talk about their vehicles. Most of them were self build, so that was interesting to me.
Here is another sitting outside chatting video, which I recorded this morning.
Contrary to what I am saying in the video, I feel perfectly fine now. The problem is if you mention not feeling very well everyone piles in with unsolicited advice about what you should be doing. That really bugs me.
Thanks for popping in. Catch ya tomorrow. Toodle pip.   ilona

  1. Noted. I think people are just trying to be helpful and kind but don’t appreciate your independent nature.

You remind me of my late wife….she didn’t like people telling her what to do either!

So glad to hear you are firing on all cylinders again, lovely lady.

    1. Scaremongering and bullying from our Government has done a lot of damage to people's fragile mental health. I has all but destroyed any confidence that they may have had before the wheels of authority decided that we were all going to die of a nasty bug. I will never forgive them for that. They reduced a lot of people to a mere shadow of their former selves. And still this feeling of helplessness lingers on. Fear is a cruel way to do battle with your own people.

Now we have the situation where virtue signalling is the way to strengthen friendships. People are desperate to be liked, be part of a group, and crave the comfort of belonging. They are afraid to step out of their comfort zone. People have always been pack animals, they will gravitate towards those who bolster their confidence.

The problem with commenting on blogs is that people think they know you. If anyone has been following me for the last 16+ years they might have picked up a few vibes along the way. But they don't really truly know me as a person.

I thank people for being concerned about my general welfare, but I wish they would concentrate their own energies of being kind to those around them in their own communities.

  3. I agree totally with what you say here in this video. The horror of what is going on all over the world at the moment is, I think, going to have an effect on our health both physical and mentally. What a sad, sad situation. I am glad you are feeling better now and back on track. Keep well & safe, Ro (n.w. Italy).

    1. The western world is under siege. The globalists will roll out any plan to achieve their aim. People are easily sucked it. First tell them they are going to die if they don't follow the rules. I am feeling better, my digestive system has settled down. Thank you for your comment.

  5. We had the same situation here in the US when thousands of chickens had to be killed because they found one with bird flu. Price of eggs skyrocketed. It’s such a terrible shame. Glad you are on the mend and had a day out.

  6. I understand how you feel. I am trying to cut down on checking the news. I have also developed an intense fear of crowded places. What you see and hear certainly does have a big impact on your mental health. Take care Ilona.

  7. I'm pleased you're feeling better and I totally get why people piling in with advice is extremely irritating. Quite honestly you only have to sneeze or cough these days and people are asking if you've thought about doing a certain test. The fear mongering is continuing and I've noticed since there's been a decreased uptake of a certain flu treatment the so called experts are projecting the worst flu outbreak in years. It's all so predictable.

    1. I know it is ridiculous…people aren’t having flu shots and those experts are saying it will be the worst ever…fear wondering nothing more. And now it has been declared that Canada is no longer “measles free” whatever that means…more fear mongering to get people to jab their kiddies.

  8. Glad you are feeling better now
My daughter and granddaughter aged 7 visited during covid. A visit in the garden. The child came to talk to me standing in the open doorway. I invited her in and she looked totally horrified. Granny, she said, if I come in there I can kill you. You will die. She had been told that all elderly die if they catch covid. A few months later she came and started with a cold. Daughter did a Covid test which was positive. She rushed the child out of the house who was screaming and crying hysterically, probably thinking she was going to die and kill everyone. Daughter had been brainwashed by the media hype, and passed this on to the child. Granddaughter was better in 5 days, we didn't catch it despite them staying here before granddaughter was ill, daughter caught it and was OK in 2 weeks. The child has never been the same carefree child since covid but daughter does realise she went well over the top instructing her child. The government and media messed up a lot of people's mental health.
