Millions of pumpkins are grown, and sold in the run up to Halloween. I found these two on a roundabout in the middle of the road this afternoon. Don't know how they ended up there among the bushes.
I did a couple of hours picking litter this afternoon. There was a race meeting on yesterday, all the surrounding roads were full of parked cars. I had to give up on that and go elsewhere. Today there were no cars, just some passing traffic. I filled a red bag. A pair of trainers anyone? Someone had bought a new pair and left the old ones behind. The soles were in a poor state. Designer trainers are not made to last.
The land next to the Raceway is rough ground, so I had a nosey around there. Found three food delivery boxes. I wonder why anyone would throw them over a hedge and into a field. Perhaps they didn't like the job they were doing and decided to jack it in. A foldable chair had seen better days.
These items were too big to fit into my car, so I parked them at the gate. Someone will find them when they turn up for work tomorrow. Let them deal with it. They are in pretty good condition, maybe someone could make use of them as storage boxes. Technically it's a fly tip but I won't bother the Council with it.
I've just made a stir fry so I am going to tuck into that. Noodles, mushrooms, spinach, and peas.
