Hello. What kind of a day have you had today. It's quiet here in the village. People have gone away for the Bank Holiday Weekend. Today it hasn't been quite as hot as the last few days, so I was able to take Billy dog for a walk this morning. He goes crazy when he sees me at the door, and won't keep still while he has his harness put on.
It was still sunny this afternoon and I thought I would take advantage of that. A walk to the Park. I took a picker stick and a plastic carrier bag with me and picked up the litter along the way. I filled the bag twice. The trees are gorgeous right now.
Bluebells and wild garlic carpet the ground.
An area close to the Hall has been cleared and replanting is underway. Look at this stunning colour.
Kneeling down next to the perimeter wall to get these two shots. Back home for dinner. Broccoli and cauliflower, with spinach and ricotta tortelloni. Quick and easy, one pan, five minutes.
Now I have to water the pots in the garden. I use a watering can, not a hose pipe.
Thanks for popping in. Enjoy your weekend. Toodle pip. ilona
Beautiful pictures. Spring is finally here. Word has it in my area the last possible frost will be the 4th of May. So we shall see. I also love the new header photo. Was a nice day got lots done. Raining now and supposed to continue overnight and the early hours of tomorrow. We will start our planting next week. My husband has tillered the garden area. We will throw our compost in and go over it again with the tiller. Then let the planting begin!!!! Exciting!!! I am going to plant a few sunflowers. Not sure if I will sow them in the ground or if I will try pots like you did one year.

Hello Tammy. Sounds like you are well organised in the garden. When I first moved here I grew lots of vegetables. It was a battle to keep the slugs and snails at bay. Too time consuming. My sunflowers were huge, taller than the garage.
