I have been on an emotional roller coaster for the last six years or so. I watch alternative news channels, both here and the rest of the world. I follow citizen journalists who are out on the streets of the UK, and I watch UK Column News. GB News is another one to follow. There are others, but this is where you get a broad spectrum of all the worlds news. Forget the six o clock news on the telly, or News at Ten. What comes from these stations is a word salad picked to pieces, edited over and over again to make sure it is word perfect and will be acceptable to those in high places. It is censored up to the eyeballs, and bears no relation to what is happening on the ground.
I have just been over to Cro's blog, and his post today has given me hope. The comments indicate that more people are waking up. So thank you Cro and thank you Deejohn. We have to keep speaking out.

It is getting more and more difficult to separate the wheat from the chaff as far as news programs are concerned these days.
ReplyDeleteYou're right, it is. It used to be said that a lot of what comes out in the alternative media, (online) is conspiracy theories, and not to be trusted. Now the pendulum is swinging the other way. Proof is emerging that a lot of main stream media news is doctored, and most of us know why that is.
DeleteHave you noticed that a lot more articles, responses, comments, photographs and videos are AI generated. 'Ask Grok' seems to be the popular choice where research is concerned. As if asking a robot, which has been programmed by a human, is the solution. No wonder people are losing the ability to think for themselves. It takes the brainwashing concept to a whole new level.
There are a series of videos of Elon Musk speaking directly to camera, supposedly sharing his psychological insights to predict the future. The videos are generated by AI. Piece by piece, soundbite by soundbite, frame by frame. The man is a genius no doubt, but his involvement in these videos is minimal. Yet people respond in the comments as if they are talking to him.

I noticed that some of the comments were getting very interesting. When I went back later I saw he had made some adjustments. It amuses me that the Trump haters are now very happy with the new man.

DeleteNo worries Georgie. Traveller has been a pain in the ass for a long time, for several bloggers. He will come back when things have calmed down, he can't help himself. He plagued me for a while until I got wise. Moderate comments as they come in, and delete immediately those you don't want. Some people think they have a God given right to say anything they like. The aggravation you get from trolls can drive you to distraction, if you let it.
