Party time

Hello. Who's coming to the party? It's next Sunday at mine. The Summer House will be open for viewing as part of the Open Gardens, and it will be filled with my artworks. There will be bricabrac for sale, money for our cat rescue, Janet will be in charge of  the stall.
Free drinks for our visitors, choice of red or white wine, beer, sherry, and nibbles, sweets for the kids. All we need now is fine weather. Mind you, we do have the newly extended porch to shelter in if it does rain.

I shall be at it all week getting things ready. The Summer Fair is on the Village Green on Saturday, so a busy weekend ahead. Getting excited, looking forward to it.

Very hot here today, had to come inside to cool off. enjoy your Sunday, thanks for popping in.
Toodle pip.

  3. I wish I lived nearer but will think of you when visiting open gardens near my daughters home. I love seeing what people have done to make their little bit of heaven. I opened mine a few years ago for the local Cottage Garden Group I really enjoyed it. Hope the weather stays fine. Hi

  5. Is there a way I could send a contribution to support your cat rescue efforts, Ilona? I know you don't "do" online finances, but perhaps there is a trustyworthy friend with a PayPal account? Best wishes for success. Hope you sell out. Elaine in Philly.

    1. Agreed Elaine. Ilona is too far to drive to but I would be very happy to donate also. Amanda

    2. And, good friend Ilona, please don't tell me to support or increase my support of animal rescue efforts in my area instead. I happily already do that. See? I'm smiling. I want to help "chez vous" as well. Naughty me as always.

  7. I'd be there if it wasn't so far away. It would be nice to meet to you and see your artwork for real. Just got home. Two busy days out and traffic was a mess coming home both times. Couch feels good in cool house and sipping last of iced tea. 73 degrees F. 85 Sunday and all next week warm into 70s finally. Happy weekend!

  14. Maybe next year if you open your garden to viewing. We are going toBrighlingsea to have a look at their open gardens this coming weekend. I plan to take loads of photos to inspire me. I think it is so generous of people to do that. If there was any way to access my garden other than through the conservatry via the garage we would open ours... don't want a whole load of total sytrangers wandering through the conservatory which is the only way into the back garden from the garage.
