The pleasure of becoming whole.

A lesson in psychology on this Wednesday morning. This struck a chord with me. If you make it to the end there are some useful tips. Worth 23 minutes of your time. I think I am on the right track.
Carl Jung warned that the nicest people are often the most lost. Not because they lack intelligence — but because they’ve been trained to betray themselves just to be liked. In this video, we expose the hidden danger of people-pleasing, why it’s rooted in fear and identity loss, and how Jung’s shadow work leads to the only real cure: becoming whole.

Thanks for popping in. We'll catch up soon. Toodle pip.   ilona

  2. Very interesting and so very true. When I hit the menopause I had a change of personality. I stopped putting up with crap from people. It empowered me and I found when I stood up to people's rudeness (which I'd never been able to do) I felt liberated. Felt proud of myself.
You do get more respect for that in the long run, don't you?
And definitely more respect for yourself.
Cheers Ilona. Take care Susan xx

    1. Hello Susan. You make some good points. You have to respect yourself first before you expect other people to. If you act like a victim, you will be taken advantage of. Know your rights and stand up for yourself. Best wishes.

  3. I studied Psychology A Level in the early 1990's and Carl Jung was part of the curriculum. It really opened my eyes to traits people inherit from childhood but also those of co-workers and others I came into contact with on a daily basis. I've never forgotten it - and it's fascinating to have these skills to this day because people's behaviours are fascinating.

    1. It is a fascinating subject. Trying to work out what makes people tick. Scraping the surface doesn't work, you have to dig deep and that takes a long time. What is learnt during childhood is the basis of the framework which you can carry with you for the rest of your life. Thank you for your comment.
