Bags more bags.

I think I've got enough bags now to sell at the Christmas Fair. 20 finished, some shopping bags, some smaller with longer over the shoulder handles. I used some smaller pieces of fabric up.

I'll have a rest from this now, and move on to something else. ilona

  3. I reckon you can make those bags in your sleep now and with eyes shut! Wonder how many you've made in total?

    1. Probably quite a lot Sue. Must be over 100 now. I haven't counted.

  4. Ilona I love your bags and wondered if it was something I could do for my favourite charity...As most of your fabrics are donated to you I just wondered what price you put on them to make sure that they sell?

    1. Yes, you could make some for your charity, they are simple to make. Use a 10p bag for life as a pattern.

I sell them ridiculously cheap £1 each. All the other cloth bags I have seen for sale are quite flimsy and cost more. Mine are strong, and people get a bargain. I want them to be pleased with them and use them for a long time.

  5. Just a thought ... one of the most useful bags I was ever given was a small one. It was about 8"x8"x3" wide and its purpose was to put the few requirements in when popping out on a quick errand with a baby: bottle, wipes, diaper, toy and when no huge diaper bag was needed. It was green and had an iron-on frog appliqued on one side. Oh, and it had one handle that went from the near end of one side to the far end of the other and that was handy, too.

    Wishing you lots of sales!

  9. Ilona, I absolutely love the bags. My favorite is the one that looks like different teapots. I would buy several if I lived there. Beautiful work!
