For your diary.

The book of faces does has some uses, not many. Notification of future events pop up on my screen. Put this in your diary.
York Minster have a light show starting on the 12th February, and ending on 2nd March. It starts at 6pm and finishes at 9pm. (outside only) It is ten minutes on a loop, and it is FREE.
You could go earlier and make a day of it. Visiting the Castle, Shambles, and other historic buildings. I shall be using the Park and Ride, a convenient way to get into the city centre without getting snarled up in traffic and searching for a car park. Free with my bus pass.
How about it?

I am a chatty shopper.

My faith in human nature is being greatly diminished, going by the amount of insults thrown at me daily. There is an epidemic of cruel and nasty jibes spewing from people's mushed up brains.

A successful shopping trip this afternoon. I got all I needed from three shops. Had a lovely chat in Home Bargains with a lady who has a big garden and was stocking up on bird seed. She loves watching the wildlife through her patio doors. I told her about the best food for hedgehogs and she said she would get some for when they come back in the spring.

I had a laugh with the lady on the checkout at the charity shop. I picked up a heated hair curler and said it hasn't got a price on it, but it's £3. She scanned it and said, you are right, it is.

I had a laugh with a shopper in Aldi. We chuckled at some of the crazy things on the centre aisle. A plastic cup like gadget for washing dogs paws. You put water in it and push a dirty paw down into it and the soft bristles scrub the muck off. I can't see a dog standing still and allowing you to do it four times. Unless it's a three legged dog of course, ha ha.

The young lady on the till at Aldi was telling me about a new job she will be moving to on the first of February. A change of career for her. She will be working at a Day Centre for disabled people. She is looking forward to that. Good for her, for making the change.

Now I need to put my shopping away.

Catch ya later. Toodle pip.

Sleep tight, don't let the bugs bite.

It's like my body is on a timer. I take it to bed when I am tired, and six hours later it wakes up. I check the time with a torch, always wear a wrist watch, and decide whether I have to get up immediately, or if I can snooze for a bit longer. I don't like going from horizontal to vertical in an instance, so I grab the fourth pillow and prop myself up half sitting half lying. I would like one of those hospital beds where you can alter the elevation. But adding a fourth pillow does the same job.

I sit/lie and ponder. What would be a good time to get up. Do I need to pee quickly, or can it wait. I make plans in my head for the days activities. Prioritise my tasks.

I can tell when people are going to work because car headlights flash around my room when they pull out of the road opposite. I remember the times I had 4am starts, and had to get up at three. No more of that thank goodness.

I never fully close my curtains, I like to catch a glimpse of the street light. As a child I was frightened of the dark. Mum always had to leave the landing light on and the bedroom door open, until I dropped off to sleep. These days I drop off almost immediately my head hits the pillow. I have some magazines to read by the bed, but I never make more than ten minutes before I am nodding off.

My six hours of sleep often goes to seven and a half, or even eight, as I gather my thoughts. As we drift towards summer and the days become longer, I will adjust my sleep pattern to take advantage of extended daylight hours. Sun in the morning prompts me to get out of bed earlier.

Ever since I had some of my innards removed (hysterectomy) 16 years ago, it has always felt uncomfortable to lie on my side. So now I always lie on my back the whole night through, with my hands resting on my thighs. I think that is because I was in a lot of pain after the op, and my belly was sore, and I didn't want anything weighty on top of me.

This is the routine I have every night and it works for me. As I lay down on the pillows I tell my head to go to sleep, and I do. Occasionally I wake up for a pee during the night. I pick up the torch which is next to my pillow, and check the time, then go to the bathroom, and don't put the light on. Straight back to the bedroom and it's off to the land of nod again. Sleeping on one's own in a king size bed is bliss.

I did a blog post in 2010 about how I make my nest.

Here's a pic from 2014.Two duvets in the winter.

Now for breakfast. Today is a shopping day. Need food for me, and some cat food. Aldi, Home Bargains, and The Range.
Have a good day. Toodle pip.   ilona

Too much pudding

I see Mr Pudding has posted another self portrait on his blog. Not very flattering I must say. He would be more suited to take up residence in the US, being as he has so much to say about their political system. He would have them sorted out in no time.

To be honest I prefer Rachel's assessment of Mr Musk.

Common sense

 Good morning.

First we have Mark Zucker telling us he has sacked the fact checkers, now we have facebuck being swamped with get rich quick schemes. Scamming posts will be pushed out relentlessly now the coast is clear.

The fact checkers were supposed to protect us from misinformation. Anyone who understands the term of misinformation doesn't need protecting. Many are wide awake now and will ignore these accusations.

So what we have now is a free for all. These scammers are using well known political figures to push their bogus investment companies. Apparently mega money can be made by signing over your personal banking details, and you will become instantly rich. If you believe this good luck to you.

Try this one.

And this one.

And this one.

There is a battle going on between social media companies. Mr Zucker's business model is not doing very well, people are leaving in droves. Mr Musk's company is doing very well since he took over the tweeeeters. They both need paying advertisers, and they are both desperate to grab a bigger share of the market. They both need people to be sucked in and they will both employ dirty tricks, to get it.

Money coming into these companies will filter through to the higher levels. The more control they have over everyone's bank accounts, the easier it is for them to move on to CBDC.

Never has their been a more important time to use the common sense that you were born with. The only way to survive this power grab is to think independently. Work things out for yourself. Don't be easily led. Be responsible for your own actions. Don't give away your life, it's yours.

There you go. I don't like giving advice. I try not to. But open your eyes and see it for what it is.

Now going to Coffee Morning. Have a nice day. Toodle pip.   ilona

Fact checkers get the boot.

Now who was it that sang the praises of Fact Checkers in a comment? She disputed the experimental gene therapy claims which I quoted, and the cost of translators for the NHS. Apparently Full Fact are to be believed, when others are not. Nothing to do with them being paid mega amounts of money for their services.

Comment on this post.

News just in.

Highly politicised “fact-checkers” on Facebook FIRED and free speech RESTORED. The tide is TURNING

BREAKING: Mark Zuckerberg announces sweeping changes to Facebook and Instagram to move toward Free Speech including: -Ending Third-Party Fact Checking and Replacing it with Community Notes like 𝕏 -Removing Reduction of Political Content -Lifting Topic Restrictions

Listen to Mark as he explains.

It's sunny and I am going out. Catch ya later. ilona

Go now.

I should put this in The Rabbit Hole, but I will post it here, because it makes me smile. Don't say, 'intends to' Justin, just go now.

Let's hope that our PM follows his example.

Erasing scars.

Faycebuck is a cess pit of subliminal messages intending to normalise the mutilation of minors.

It is being swamped by advertisements from multiple companies, for a miracle cream called Bee Venom. Here is a link to one of them.  Apparently it is the answer to remove every type of skin blemish that you can think of. It even restores pain free movement in all of your aching joints
These two clips appeared in the first few seconds of their promotional video. I had to be quick to take the photographs. I was shocked that they appear to be endorsing teenagers to change their gender, by having their breasts removed. Don't worry about the scars on your body, Bee Venom will take care of them.
Maybe so, but what about the scars internally. The ones inside their head when they realise that they may have not done the right thing. There are plenty of cases indicating that a lot of people are now de-transitioning.
Please be aware that the media, any media, whether main stream or social media, have a vested interest in pushing to boost their millions into billions, and further into trillions. They will use every trick in the book, and they don't care about me or you, and they will sink to the depths of depravity to do it.
Thank you for your presence on my blog. Catch ya soon. Toodle pip.   ilona

Daniel unravels this document

The NHS is dying, and Daniel, the Black Belt Barrister explains part of the reason why it is happening.
The NHS document which he quotes from can be read in full here.
Last updated October 2023.
In a nutshell, British residents are at the bottom of the list when it comes to tests, checkups, and treatment. Every man and his dog goes before us.
Refused asylum seekers can be registered with a GP and receive free primary care services in England, Wales and Scotland, as can any other patient regardless of immigration status.
Millions are spent on interpreters for patients who cannot speak English.
The NHS has an obligation to provide translation services to users, free at the point of delivery. The NHS trust which spent the most on interpreters and translation services in the UK was NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde with costs totalling £8,853,676 during 2019-20 to 2021-22.
So, dear reader, do not become ill. This is why I always harp on about looking after yourself. The NHS is in chaos. Don't think that by rushing to get the next available treatment, and stocking up on your pill cabinet, will keep you fit and healthy. That's a fallacy. All you will be doing is boosting the coffers of Big Pharma. Doctors all around the world are calling for the suspension of mRNA jibbyjabbys. But don't take any notice of me, after all, as many have pointed out, I'm only an ex lorry driver. Ask your doctor, and make your own mind up.
Thanks for popping in. It's flippin freezing here. My heating is on and Mayze is lying on her bed in front of the gas fire. We are fine.

Walking back home

Well it's a Friday night, my favourite guy isn't due, and I am all alone. That's a song if you didn't know it. 👩  Today I got the bus into town, and walked back. I called in at the Arts centre to say hello to Nicky. She said she would come and visit me sometime over the Christmas break, but she didn't make it. It turns out that she caught that nasty virus bug thing that was going around. Sounds like the same one that my Auntie caught, which put a stop to my planned visit there.
I took this quick snap of the church tower, looking out through the window. Tried to get it square within the window frame. The angle is not quite right. I was only going to say a quick hello, but the chat lasted a bit longer than I anticipated. I ended the walk back in the dark again.
Passing the pond. The locals call it the Blue Lagoon. There is a path all the way around it, and some benches to sit down. I sit on the last bench for ten minutes because from there on there is nowhere else to sit until I get back to the village. The bench is quite high up so I am looking down on the pond. The sun going down created the reflection of the building in the water.

I ate my snack and looked for something else to take a picture of. Once again looking down at the water, you can see the ripples, and the reflection of the clouds.
This one is a trick photograph because I have rotated it, now it is upside down. It is not the sky, it's the pond. The speck in the water is a duck.

The duck came closer so I quickly snapped it before it disappeared into the grasses.

Still sat on the bench I zoomed in on the grasses.

This one picked out the ripples on the water. I couldn't see what was causing them.

I've got three days of cat sitting now, so I won't be going very far from home. Now need to push this keyboard aside because Mayze wants a cuddle.

Have a good weekend. Toodle pip.   ilona

I agree . . . . . .

Rachel has saved me the brain scrambling job of writing a post this morning. She explains the current situation much better than I can. Her creative writing course is paying off.

I agree with everything she says. The fear will continue because that's the plan.

Anyone who can't or doesn't want to comprehend that, will get left behind.

Like she says, don't let the buggers get to you.

Rachels post for today.

Freezing but sunny today.

We need to laugh

What day is it?
I have a million and one ideas in my head for blog posts, and need to get them in some kind of order depending on which topics are most urgent and which can wait. It is obvious that things are brewing on the political front. After all the pretty fireworks on new years eve, I think we should be aware that more fireworks are to come, and they won't be pretty, in the run up to Mr T being signed in as president. The fanatics will do anything to stop that happening. They know they will forfeit their own lives as they go about causing maximum carnage and murders of innocent people.
The fight for world dominance continues. We, as insignificant little people, cannot do anything to stop the relentless push for the demographic changes to come.
What we must do however is recognise what is happening and why, then get on with our own lives.
Last night I watched this video. It gave me 55 minutes where I switched off from the doom and gloom, and had me ROTFL. OMG, it was hilarious.
Tent boxes are becoming a thing, and these three pals had the idea of cutting costs and constructing their own. I have watched their previous videos. They always have crazy ideas. They do things which any sane person would not attempt to do. They very much remind me of Boys from the Blackstuff. Remember the the TV comedy drama written by Alan Bleasdale, set in Liverpool in 1982.
Hell on Earth have created their own brand of hapless humour. The perfect antidote to the other hell on earth. Grab yourself a beer, or a coffee, and be prepare to pee yourself laughing. Don't forget, entertainment on yoootooob is free.
A sunny start to the day today. I must get some washing in the machine and out on the line.
Thanks for popping in. Thank you to all those who have taken the time to send me supportive comments. I appreciate that. We, the Wide Awake Club, stand together.

EDIT
Here's another Hell on Earth, when you have finished this one. Three lads stealth camping in an old beat up campervan in the middle of London. 😂😎😅
