Entertaining my guest

Howdy pardeners. Annette is still here which explains my absense, you can't sit for hours on the computer when you have a guest to entertain. Here she is, outside the Baths Hall in Scunthorpe. This building was recently refurbished and extended and is now a top class entertainments venue, with an impressive auditorium.
There have been several changes to the town which Annette was keen to see. Buildings have been demolished, shops have closed and new shops have come in to take their place. We went to see the new Pods which is a fantastic new leisure centre, we were well impressed with the swimming pools and gym. The place was packed out with fitness fanatics and children enjoying themselves.

It seems the town is at last pulling itself out of the dark ages, and has a lot to offer the people who live there. It won't be long before we get our brand new Marks and Spencer which is going to be built on a brand new retail park close to the football ground and Tesco.

Must go, Jessie blind dog has to be walked home and it takes ages, three steps forward on two back, ha ha. Catch you tomorrow. Toodle pip.

  4. Enjoy having your friend to stay. Good to hear that things are looking up in your little town (which was where my late Aunty used to do her shopping....).
