Great park-ups

Now that the weather is warming up it's time to think about car camping. As you saw last year my car is the perfect size for me. I have a sunlounger bed down one side, with room on the other side for preparing food, washing, sitting and reading, and managing bodily functions which occur from time to time.
All I have to do is find a safe and private spot with a fabulous view, then chill and relax.
Today I have been out and about searching for desirable locations for possible park-ups. You might like to see what I have found.
Wow, this place has a wonderful view. I do like the countryside with those majestic looking iron structures. Isn't it marvelous how they position them in close proximity of a very convenient layby. I could lie watching them all night long.
Oh my, this spot is even better. A string of six pylons, heading out into the distance. The sun is shining and I have a good chance of getting a tan as I lie here. Nothing better than to get the boots and socks off at the end of a long hike and get some fresh air to the feet.

Now I go in search of more places to park up. I am looking for really good views from the back of my camper. What have we here. Just look at those bales of hay. Isn't it clever how they have placed them perfectly on top of each other. I do like the look of that pile of gravel as well. Very picturesque. It has the added bonus of a glorious aroma of farmyard shit. Breath deeply my friend, it really clears your lungs.

Now I have hit the jackpot, The perfect place for a park-up. Safety in numbers eh! I wonder if anymore trucks will come along and join us. I could gaze at that super DAF all night while sipping a nice cool beer.
What's at the end of this lane. I had to go and have a look. A dead end next to the water. Perfect. I can look across the river and watch the boats going up and down. I can take a pee within the shelter of that thick hedge, and nobody will see me. Perfect.

Oh this is going to be a good place. Just as the sun is going down in the woods. Check out the wildlife. Marauding bears and wild pigs snuffling away in the undergrowth.  Crack open the champers and get dressed up for the occasion. I think I'll wear a skirt tonight.

Well that search for suitable park-ups went very well. I found some great places. I can't wait to get started on my adventures. I will let you know when I'm off.

Thanks for popping in. Toodle pip.   ilona

    1. I like to maintain a sense of humour, Jo. When you can laugh at yourself, you can laugh at anything.

  2. Thanks for cheering me up Ilona and making me smile. I’ve been having a grim time over the last few days as my step dad has had a serious stroke. Worst thing that can happen and in my opinion a living death. I do think the repeated jabs he’s had have caused this as he had no other health problems.

    1. So sorry to hear that boat gal. I think your story may be repeated many times. Trying to maintain a normal life is very difficult when there are so many unanswered questions. All you can do is take one day at a time. Eventually the sadness will fade and little pockets of sunshine will emerge. Best wishes. ilona

  4. Are you still considering a car change to the Tourneo Ilona? That would have bags of space for your camping adventures.

    1. I am. It may be sooner rather than later. The clutch in the Focus needs some attention. I will see how much the repairs cost. A local garage has 3 Tourneo's in. Not all my spec but I will go and have a look.

  5. Car camping sounds lovely. When I was really small, my parents had a big old sedan, they would take the back seat out and put in rolled up mattresses, then take us tent camping in the Adirondacks. Seatbelts weren't a thing yet, so six of us bounced around back there, my little brother on my mother's lap in the front seat. I love your enjoyment of life, and I appreciate that you take us along with you, thank you!
