A morning walk at Skipton

Saturday morning at Skipton. I was awake at 6am and got up at 7am. Coffee on. The front door was open and the security staff were arriving. That's handy, I can use the conveniences. The show doesn't start until 10am so I will pack a sandwich and go for a walk. As I remember I can get onto the canal from here and walk into town.
Terraced houses on the other side of the canal. Not very good for car parking if you live here.

I crossed over here to have a look at the Railway Station, where I spoke to the shuttle bus driver.

Carry on towards the town. A favourite place for boaters to moor up here.
Into the canal basin, close to the town and the bus station.

Getting the pleasure boats ready for the customers.

What's your address? Oh, I live Back o the Beck. 😎😁😜 The beck being a stream just the other side of the wall.
A few photo's from around that area.

The church next to the castle. I have been in the castle on two previous visits so didn't need to go in again. No charge to go in the church. A group of people were setting up a charity stall. With the market outside it was promising to be busy.

Just down the road in the main street, I saw this decorated door. Have to take a photo.
It was time to go back to my car and get some lunch. At 1pm I went into the show.
What did I do next? I'll tell you in the next post. Toodle pip.   ilona
