Good evening. Two events on this weekend. A quilt show at Doncaster Racecourse, or a craft fair at Lincoln. Spoilt for choice. I chose Lincoln. Only two photo's of the show. Amazingly I was spotted once again. This time by two ladies who spoke to me last year. It was nice to chat again. They remembered that I was wearing my patchwork gilet. This time I wore my pale blue cardigan which I embroidered and added extra buttons.
I decided I needed to walk, so when I had finished inside I braved the blustery wind and walked around the whole of the showground. At the entrance is the police dog training centre. Around the back is an agility course set up on a field.
There are two large exhibition halls here. Today the craft fair was in the Epic Centre. When there is a much larger show on they erect a massive marquee between the two buildings joining them together to give a large covered area. There is a big food and gift event on soon so I expect that will be totally covered.
I'm not sure what this monument is about but it has been here for 25 years. The plaques on the wall are of past and present sponsors.
I remember walking into the showground along this tree lined avenue at the truck show last year. I spent an hour walking around the showground. Then it was time to go home. I picked up a top up shop at the Co op as I passed through Broughton. A bit pricey but it will keep me going until I next do an Aldi shop.
This is what I bought from the craft fair. Small items to make the next mandalas.
That's it for now folks. Mayze is pestering me for a cuddle.
Thanks for popping in. See ya soon. Toodle pip. ilona
