 Good afternoon. Coffee morning was a lot of fun this morning. We had a visit from two community police officers. The young lady has been before, and today she brought a new boy along with her. He was very nice. I call him a boy but he said he is 31 years old and married. I expect we will be seeing them driving around the villages from time to time. 

Two letters arrived in the post today. British Gas sent their quarterly bill. It covers 14 July to 14 October. I send the meter readings in on their web site and a combined gas and electricity bill arrives in the post. There was a price change on the 1st of October so I also posted both meter readings then. Total for gas is £51.23. Total for electricity is £130.48. I  will pay it at the Post Office. 

I also had a letter from the Department for Works and Pensions, informing me that my winter fuel payment will arrive in November. We didn't get anything last year, it's good to see they have re instated it. The amount to come is £200, so that's handy. It will cover the £190.80 bill from British Gas.
