Good evening. The days events. This morning I went to Crafty Club as usual. It was party time as birthday celebrations were underway, and Jan opened her presents. I couldn't stay for the whole session as I had arranged to go to the Scrapstore at Hull. I had had a clear out and took some of my art, and other stuff I had accumulated, to donate back to them. Angela came with me as she wanted to buy some fabric for her upholstery projects. She had also had a sort out and donated two bags of fabric that she didn't want. It's a bit like a swap shop, you can buy crafting supplies from them, but also pass stuff on to them when you no have no further use for it.
I wasn't intending to buy anything, but no harm in looking eh! Oh dear, I spent £7. I was drawn towards the colours. Some bits and bobs to make another mandala I think. I bought a hoop as well.
Now what can I do with these. Small offcut circles, probably from an upholstery factory. They are a bit ugly but with some fancy stitching they could turn into something quite amazing, I think. 😎They have a lot of boxes, possibly hundreds, nay thousands, of masks. I picked up a box of 50 and wondered what I might make with them. Now there's a challenge better get my thinking cap on. I wonder how many of these have been disposed off. I read somewhere that tons of them were incinerated. I wonder how much money the Government wasted. I hate them, never wore one. The label says on the box. . . . Warning, this mask does not eliminate the risk of contracting any disease or infection. There you go, and people wore them religiously. They are single use, remember how people had them on all day. This box was produced in April 2020, it had a shelf life of two years. I wonder how many container loads of these were shipped over from China. Anyway, my task is to think of an idea of what I can do with them. It's starting to get dark a bit earlier now. 9.15pm and the hedgehog food is out. I am getting at least three of them coming every night. So cute to watch.
Thanks for popping in. Toodle pip. ilona
PS. Just checked before I press publish.
Three on the lawn right now munching away. You can hear their little teeth crunching the dry kitten food.
